[08/17 08:22pm] Tratos walks on the parapet of the arena, holding a lit torch i n his hand.

"Those blasted guards never do what they are paid to do." Lights a c orner-torch, on the left side of the ring. A few convicts, chewing some meat, bu zz in the vicinity. "Will I get anything for doing that? Perhaps a kick in the a rse for being too slow about it. And a charge for using a torch that's supposed to be lighting the armory in the castle!! bleh.." Lights another torch. "That bl oodwyn will suffer yet. That I promise." [08/17 08:56pm] Orcs Runner Michael enters the arena through Southern gate and walks towards arena. He goes to Scatty from whom he recieves Gladiator armor and sword. He looks at the sword and whines They must be kidding. This isn't a swor d, even a a branch is sharper. and goes to whetstone where he starts sharpening his sword until the fight begins. [08/17 08:57pm] The tension's rising, the crowd is growing and we can see digge rs carrying the gladiator's equipment to the arena... [08/17 09:01pm] Pickpocket Mezzy checks in with Scatty. "I'm here!", he said as he recieved his equipment. [08/17 09:02pm] Welcome one and welcome all to this week's Arena battle! Today: two brave contenders. One of them is our very own Mezzy! The other is Michael o f the orc camp -- quite frightening! Without further words, let the battle comme nce! [08/17 09:05pm] Hunter Michael was waiting reclessly for the battle to begin an d as he hears the voice for battle to start he lunges at Mezzy with his full str enght. [08/17 09:07pm] Pickpocket Mezzy sees Michael lunging at him with all his power . Mezzy does a sidestep and fends off the attack. He did almost lose his balance though. Leaving a small opening in his defense. [08/17 09:10pm] Michael turns to his opponent right after he missed him in orde r to secure himself. He then takes a step on the left, rolls to the right and sw ings his sword towards Mezzy's chest. [08/17 09:12pm] Pickpocket Mezzy quickly rises his sword in front of his chest. The blade he held got pushed onto his chest, blocking the attack perfectely. As Michael steps back Mezzy jumps forward and lunges for Michael's right leg. [08/17 09:15pm] Michael jumps off to his right side but he loses his balance a b it and is unstable. That may be chance for Mezzy to strike Michael and knock him down. [08/17 09:17pm] Pickpocket Mezzy sees the opening in Michael's defense. He trie s to go for it, but loses balance. Mezzy hits the floor and rolls a couple meter s onwards. Luckily he still holds his sword. [08/17 09:17pm] Crowd: "Go on, now! Kill him! Yeah, that's right!" [08/17 09:19pm] Aaah! That was close! The battle's getting intense, you can fee l their blood boiling, you can see the pure bloodlust in their eyes! What's thei r next movement gonna be? [08/17 09:22pm] And the crowd is growing wild. You can't make out man from woma n in this grey mass of roaring drunks. "Heh, that wound's gonna need a few heali ng potions, ha."..."Yeah, go for his right, come on!!!"....."Look at all that bl ood!" One might think these diggers are about to jump into the battle themselves . [08/17 09:26pm] Michael sees good opportunity to strike since Mezzy lost his ba lance. He strikes with his sword on the left and right side of Mezzy to distract him a little, Mezzy blocks them all but Michael lunges at Mezzy third time, thi s time aiming his chest. [08/17 09:30pm] High Orebaron Mischka leaves the castle with two bodyguards. Th e diggers stare nervously at the Orebaron, when he walks through the camp. After a few minutes he arrives at the arena. "Make way! The Orebaron wants the b est place!" one of the bodyguards shouts and the people do what he wants. So Mis chka quietly takes place and watches the fight. [08/17 09:30pm] Pickpocket Mezzy is still a little dazed from his hard knock on the floor. He had blocked some easy blows but Michael is now determined to win. As Mezzy tries to block the blow Michael threw at him this time the sound of cl ingy metal filled the entire arena area. *The crowd even went silent for a secon

d* As Michael's kept putting force onto his blade, Mezzy just couldn't handle th e massive force Michael was putting into his sword. Mezzy had to let go of his sword. He did manage to take a step back, but he is n ow at the complete mercy of Michael `. "Please spare me! he muttered. [08/17 09:32pm] By all the gods! Mezzy pleads for his life. Will Michael relent ? [08/17 09:33pm] Crowd: "What'cya doing? Kill him!!" [08/17 09:34pm] Pickpocket Tratos says, "No, spare his life!" [08/17 09:40pm] Michael raises his sword and listens to crowd shouting "Kill hi m" and then looks at Mezzy lying on the ground strenghtless. He swings his sword and stabs it in the ground right besides Mezzy's head. [08/17 09:43pm] Silence!.... A few bewildered diggers are looking at each other , realising they've lost their bets! The Ore Baron seems a bit stressed with the loss of the shadow. Crowd: "That it?!, That's bloody pathetic!!" The crowd isn' t very pleased with the hunter taking the win. [08/17 09:43pm] Pickpocket Mezzy looks at Michael with great respect in his eye s. "A true warrior! Thanks for sparing me!" he tried to say. but the words just didn't come out right due to the massive stuttering end trembling of a defeated pickpocket. [08/17 09:46pm] Michael the orc scout spares Mezzy! A weak decision, methinks, but it was his to make. To Michael go the spoils! And thus concludes this week's fight -- no deaths, but enough for the shadows to clean after for days and days ! [08/17 09:48pm] Crowd: "Boooo, boo, what gives? I came here to see death!" [08/17 09:51pm] And so, the first big fight in the old camp is concluded and a man, thought to be without honour, left the ring as the honoured winner. That wi ll stand as cruel reminder, that one is not born above another, be that not to t he orebarons liking. Mezzy will have to spend some time with his wounds and Mich ael will have a hard time returning to this camp, without bystanders throwing ha teful gazes at him, but among this senseless animosity, two convicts, forced to be enemies have become friends upon the field of battle! [08/17 09:53pm] High Orebaron Mischka quietly looks at the fighters and doesn't seem to be amused. But he continues his quietness and waits for more while his bodyguards are taking a drunken digger away from the orebaron. [08/17 09:58pm] The crowd from the arena began to disperse. Gunnegarm did his b est to appear inconspicuous. Looking up from Mordrag's stall, he saw Michael pas s by. <<So, how's victory?>> [08/17 10:01pm] Pickpocket Mezzy walks away from the arena. He has a couple of wounds on his arm, but nothing all too serious. That fighter he fought today...M ichael... Yet he was an Orc Hunter, he still spared me... "I really should go an d see a trainer... I need some combat training" , he thought to himself. "I have seen the great orebaron at the fight... and he did not seem pleased by my perfo rmance.", he quietly thought aloud." I MUST get stronger! Next time I'll defeat him!" Mezzy suddenly shouted. After that Mezzy went straight for the guildhall. [08/17 10:03pm] Orcs Runner Michael says, "Feels great. Although diggers don't seem to happy without corpse being taken from arena. they better don't spot me." he says as he turns back to see no digger has seen him." [08/17 10:06pm] Orc Servant Gunnegarm grins. <<I'm sure no digger will pose a t hreat to you, friend.>> [08/17 10:06pm] High Orebaron Mischka seems to whisper something in the bodygua rd's ear. After that he and his two bodyguards leave the arena and walk back to the castle. Finally they disappear in the house of the orebarons. [08/17 10:09pm] Orcs Runner Michael laughs out loud. "A small group of diggers, no. But have you seen how many were at the arena? Like half of Old camp. The be st thing now would be to return to Necro camp. It's not only diggers that are un happy." he looks back and sees Ore baron and his bodyguards. "That baron over th ere doesn't look happy too." [08/17 10:11pm] Gunnegarm nods. They steal away from the camp in the night, moo

nlight falling upon them, the sound of crickets like thunder to their ears.
