Subject: Expression of Interest: Resource Teachers, Resource KGEs and Resource LSEs
Date: 20th March 2024

The Education Resources Directorate, within the People Management Department, is

inviting applications from Teachers, KGEs and LSEs who would like to be considered for the
role of Resource Teacher, Resource KGE and Resource LSE, respectively, during scholastic
year 2024/2025.

Resource Teachers

The teaching load of a Resource Teacher in a Secondary School shall be reduced by 25%.

A Resource Teacher in a Primary School will not have a fixed class and will perform duties
within the School they are assigned to serve. This includes the substituting of teachers on
any type of leave and/or relieving teachers as necessary.

Resource KGE:

A Resource KGE will not have a fixed class and will perform reliever duties within the School
they are assigned to serve. This includes the substituting of KGEs on any type of leave and/or
relieving KGEs as necessary.

Resource LSE:

A Resource LSE will not have a fixed case and will perform reliever duties. This includes the
substituting of LSEs on any type of leave and/or relieving LSEs as necessary.

Moreover, Resource Educators may be asked to carry out work of special responsibility in
connection with the implementation of the National Curriculum Framework as directed by

the SMT.

Eligibility should be as follows:

1. Serving Resource Educators who would like to have their assignment renewed for
2024/2025;

or

2. Teachers, KGEs and LSEs who will have accrued at least ten (10) years’ experience in
State schools, in the respective grade, by the end of scholastic year 2023/2024 and
who are/will turn fifty-eight (58) years of age by not later than 31st December 2024.

Eligible applicants are requested to submit an online application through the link shown below
by not later than Wednesday 10th April 2024.

Although every effort will be made for Resource Educators to remain in their assigned
college, this may not always be possible.

The Approval of eligible applications is at the discretion of the management and late
applications will not be considered.
