We will have presentations/discussions on 18th March.

Week 1 presentations guidelines:

1. I suggest take different types of products/tools for project instead of taking a typical B2C App
which you can think of developing a full-fledged version later on. Other products can be a>
utility apps (like converting one format to another, converting images/pdfs into structured text,
business card reader-scanning using mobile camera and converting them into DB), 2> support
apps (e.g. supporting devices based on problem, a simple screen shot of problem to solution),
3> integration and dashboard app (which integrates data from various APIs/tools and shows in
unified manner etc. and shows consolidated version e.g. unified transactions of various net
banking CSV files, adds dashboards to it), 4> highly personalized apps of existing eComm, food,
ride-sharing apps etc..

2. You can choose to create a completely new product or value-add existing app/software product
with new features (at least 3 major features so that you can work on various aspects such as
using RICE framework, doing Kano analysis etc., make sure you add enough features to justify
the efforts put by 11 people).

If you are planning to add features to existing one, you must create a functional/non-functional
replica of existing screen/layouts and create base data required etc. (you may be do it by taking
screen-shots and overlay other controls to have same look n feel). For example, if there is
already ‘Add To Cart’ button in eComm app screen and now you want to add one more button
‘Preview Cart’ next to it which displays revised cart with selected item added to check the
revised price etc., you will add a button called ‘Preview Cart’ as a new feature but show ‘Add To
Cart’ button as just part of wireframe (without any functionality). This is to show how UI would
look like after the feature is implemented.

3. Go through the chapters of Part 2 of the book, understand the templates (excel, word and
power point to be filled up)
4. I have already uploaded toolkit which is part of the book (I have already uploaded it on Moodle,
only for academic purpose). Glance through templates given in folders Conceive and Plan.

Brainstorm, do research, talk to prospective customers (talk to fellow class mates or audience inside and
outside the campus who can be customers of your product/new features) and fill up all the templates
with specifics relevant to the product (or set of features to be added to existing product) you have
taken.

5. Glance through templates given in folders

Each group will make presentation for 15-20 minutes, discussing all templates in chronological order of
topics. Suggest all class participates in the discussion.
