2. Requirements:
Student will perform independently in front of the judges. Each student is required to
make an impressive English speech about the topic. They will share their thoughts as well
as suggestions to preserve the world’s heritage sites and landscapes. The examiner will
ask 1 - 2 follow-up questions to evaluate each student’s reflexibility, logical reasoning as
well as critical thinking abilities.
- Duration of each speech: 05 - 07 minutes.
- Preparation time: 1 week (Nov 28th, 2020 to 00:00, Dec 5th, 2020)
- On board: Dec 5th, 2020
3. To-do list:
a. Do a thorough research on the topic
- You should think about the topics from different perspectives in order to
generate more refined ideas.
b. Outline your main points
- Introduction: You should creatively hook the judges’ attention into the topic of
your speech and then clearly state your thesis.
- Body:
A minimum of 2 main points is required in your speech.
For each main point, prepare a claim relating to your thesis with relevant
supporting details: data, facts, examples, and other statistical evidences.
(Tips: It is strongly recommended that you should prepare presentation
slides to give the judges a better understanding of your speech.)

heritage sites and landscapes?
- Conclusion: You should restate your main points and summarize the goal of your
speech. If possible, finish your speech with an appealing call to action.
c. Practice your speech for the best performance in the final round.
