All want peaceful life
All want others to praise
All want organization to respect
All want society to respect
All want country to respect for our
contribution
Is this Possible?

What price we have to pay for it ?

What hurdles we may face?
How to avoid likely problems.
The answer is

Be internally vigilant A great

person said ‘Internal vigilance is the
price of liberty’.
Hence
Vigilance week
And hence
This talk
1. What is vigilance?
2. At what cost it is available to us?
3. What are its benefits?
These are three questions we
will try to answer in this talk.
What is vigilance?

Vigilance is nothing but guarding

ourselves against likely pitfalls in
life so as to lead a honorable life
throughout i.e. a life full of self
respect.
How to achieve this?

Bhagawadgita says,
‘Man eve manushyanam Karanam
Bandh Mokshayoho’
This means our mind is responsible
for our freedom as well as captivity.
All problems start within our mind
it is the source of all misery or
liberty.
An uncontrolled mind is a liability.
A controlled mind is an asset.
How to control mind ?

Why is mind capable of causing

misery as well as liberty is a big
question.
Our senses are five Jnanendriyaa
and five Karmendriya in total 10.
These are compared to ten horses as
per Kathopanishad.
These senses are difficult to control
as they always flow outwards.
To do anything we are guided by
three things.

✔ Ichcha ( Desire)
✔ Jnan ( Knowledge)
✔ Kriya ( Action)
Desire is the first cause of action.
Knowledge as to how to fulfill desire
is second action is the third.
If we have achieved control over our
senses we are sober and noble.
This can lead us to highest position
an earlier.
We have two examples

1. Dronacharya- faced downfall

because he desired a cow for his
son.
2. Bheeshmacharya – He tried to fulfil
wrong desire of his wife.
It is not enough that an desire should
be sober desires of all those who
influence should also be sober.
What are its benefits?
Only person who did not succumb to
desire and did not coummit
mistakes is Bhima. He only could
kill 100 kouravas who stood for
vices.
Benefits
We have a clean life
We can look back upon our
achievements with respect society
respect you
Country respects you
We can lead a happy life
We can face god
We can face ourselves.
Thank You
