IG, PhD., CESO UII Director IV Regional Director SUBJECT -: CALL FOR RESEARCH PROPOSALS TO BE, FUNDED BY THE 2022 BASIC EDUCATION RESEARCH FUND DATE i January 13, 2022 In accordance with DepEd Order No. 16, s. 2017 titled “Research Management Guidelines”, this Office through the Policy, Planning and Research Division (PPRD) calls for research proposals to be funded by the 2022 Basic Education Research Fund (BERF), Research topic/area should focus on education in the new normal anchored on the themes of the Basic Education Research Agenda (BERA): Teaching and Learning, Child Protection, Human Resource Development and Governance. However, researchers may also consider priority topics from respective Research Plan in their level Interested researchers from the Regional Office (RO) proper may submit proposal to the Regional Research Committee (RRC) through the PPRD while the division, district and school level proponents may submit proposal to the Schools Division Research ‘Committee (SDRC) through the SEPS In-Charge of Research from January 15, 2022 to February 16, 2022. Only those proposals submitted within the given timeline shall be initially evaluated by the Technical Working Committee (TWC)/SDRC for endorsement. Application Form with Endorsement of Immediate Supervisor; b. Declaration of Anti-Plagiarism Form; ¢. Declaration of Absence of Conflict-of-Interest Form; 4. Research Proposal (include in the workplan timeline the submission of liquidation reports which is 30 days upon the release of the fund); ¢. Validity and Reliability Certification of Researcher-Made Instrument; and f. Research Instrument/Tool. 5. Division Offices shall endorse the initially evaluated proposals to the RO by uploading the following documents in e-copy (Folder per researcher with file name format _ Last Name, First Name, Title of Research) at the PPRD's Google Drive link hutps://drive google.com /drive/folders/ LWf-B8 l]IOCiDgvG7AF8TweGOmWpe6CFGG on or before March 18, 2022: a. Application Form with Endorsement of Immediate Supervisor; b, Declaration of Anti-Plagiarism Form; Declaration of Absence of Conilict-of-Interest Form; d. Research Proposal with attached Individual SDRC Evaluation Result Form with comments findings /suggestions (include in the workplan/timeline the submission of liquidation report which is 30 days upon the release of the fund; €. Validity and Reliability Certification of Researcher-Made instrument; £, Research Instrument/Tool; and g SDRC Evaluation Results Summary Form as SDO attachment to Endorsement. 6. The RO Technical Working Committee (TWC}/PPRD shalll initially evaluate research proposals coming from the RO proper. 7. Only proposals with an average of seventy percent (70%) and abave and endorsed by TWC/ SDRC shall be accepted by this Office. 8. Research proposals endorsed by the TWC/SDOs shalll be checked vis-a-vis compliance using the RRC Checklist and shall be endorsed to the RRC members for perusal and further evaluation. 9.
