 Introduction
This report will discuss 2 problems in clay reclaimer, the guide roller for drive bogie has a wear in its
structure and some of the holding down fasten studs for reclaimer rails is deformed and broken.

 Reclaimer has 3 drive bogies, 2 elements at the material side and 1 element at the opposite
direction.
 2 pcs Guide rollers are designed for each drive bogie at the material side.

 Reclaimer has 2 lines from rails, 1 line at the material side and the other at the opposite side.

 Guide roller problem
At Bogie no.1 the guide roller at anti-material side has a little looseness, from our experience this
looseness most likely is a result from worn out the structure (item no.1) in the interference area
between bogie structure and guide roller shaft (item no.2) the area which colored by the yellow color.

This wear caused in a repeated damage for the guide roller (item no.3), where is the shaft (item no.2)
is broken several times in corrective (pozzolana) reclaimed because of impact load.

 Rail holding down fasten studs problem
At the material side rail and due to a previous accident the threaded part in nut from the holding down
fasten studs item no.1 has been broken for some studs and other deformed.

The broken studs have missing holding down plates item no.3.

 The action taken by welding the rest of stud in the side keeper plates item no.2 and welding the side
keeper plate with the base plate item no.4 don’t effective to hold the rail down like the holding down
plate that press the rail down using the tightening of studs.
