Ride for a Cause

Motorbike. A simple looking mode of transportation that has been loved by many. One can choose from
a lot of variation of motorbikes. There are big bikes with big displacement, and small ones with it’s
corresponding displacement. Some motorbikes have clutch, some are semi-automatic, and there are
even automatic ones. It is easy to maneuver, and is often way fun than a four-wheeled vehicle as it offers
a one on one experience with the environment. The allure of riding a motorcycle has been questioned
throughout the years, that only those who has or owned a motorbike can answer.

This is where TRIP is a local motorbike group, begins to enter . The love for such mode of transportation
as means to help and educate those around them. After the parts of Luzon were hit by calamities, the
local LGUs couldn’t respond to those who needed their help as they lack manpower, this motorcycle
group enters and extended their help. They collected noodles, rice, and canned goods, and delivered
such to those who were affected. They also offer rides to those who need to be somewhere else. They
do not only offer their help when needed but also educate those around them about safety measures
when it comes to riding, in order to produce disciplined, law-abiding and responsible motorcycle riders,
to combat their often judged group.

Due to their good behavior, they have been praised by the Metro Manila Development Authority or the
MMDA, which now has their support by teaming up with them and further cultivating their group’s work
and goal, therefore members of TRIP now are undergoing various trainings on first aid and life support,
so that when their help is needed they can respond as group or per individual.
