Jamel Balhi of Arab origin was born in Lyon, France, in 1963. But he hasn’t stayed there. In fact,
he has run around the world. When Jamel Balhi was a small boy, he liked running around the house.
Later on, he always ran to school. And when he was sixteen, he ran his first race. It was a distance
of 60 kilometer. However, Jamel isn’t interested in wining races – he’s interested in running. He has
run the length of America from north to south – a distance of 24000 kilometers. He has travelled
along the Silk Road in China. Most recently, he has run across Mozambique and South Africa. In
.his life he has crossed more than 170 countries and covered more than 280,000 Kilometers
