Sub:- Secretary Section, GHMC- Meetings of the Corporation – Corporation

desired to constitute two Adhoc Committees to examine in detail on
Sanitation and Advertisements issues in GHMC and to submit a report with
due findings, opinion and suggestions – Eight Ward Members have been
appointed as Members of the said Committees - H.W. Mayor, GHMC will
be Chairperson of the Committees – Regarding.

1. It is submitted that during the course of discussions held in the preceding 8 th

Ordinary meeting of the Corporation convened on two days i.e., on 19 th and 20th
February, 2024 the Corporation (GHMC) desired the Commissioner, GHMC to constitute
Adhoc Committees on two subjects i.e., on Sanitation and Advertisements in GHMC
comprising of adequate number of members with the consent of the H.W. Mayor,
GHMC so as to examine in detail on respective subjects and to submit a report with due
findings, opinion and suggestions with all its accompaniments and complexities, to the
Corporation through the Standing Committee, GHMC to streamline the issues, as
permissible under the provisions of Section 99 (1) of the GHMC Act, 1955.

2. Accordingly, the following Ward Members of GHMC have been identified as

members of the said two Adhoc Committees. Smt Vijaya Lakshmi R. Gadwal the H.W.
Mayor, GHMC will be the Chairperson of the Adhoc Committees as detailed below:

3. In this context, it is submitted that Sri Soma Bharath, SBM / Smt Sandhya, Joint
Commissioner,(Sanitation) and Sri Basha, Estate Officer/Smt Sarika, AMC, Advt.,GHMC
are being dealt with the subject relevant to Sanitation and Advertisements respectively,
they may be appointed as Conveners for the Adhoc Committees for Sanitation and
Advertisement each respectively to coordinate with the members of the respective
Adhoc Committees to convene the meetings at the behest of the H.W. Mayor, GHMC
being the Chairperson of the Ward Committees for maintain records and for preparing
reports of the respective Adhoc Committees with the findings, opinion and suggestions
with all its accompaniments and complexities and to place before the Corporation
through the Standing Committee, GHMC in the form of a preamble duly obtaining
approval of the Commissioner, GHMC, for information.

The Addl.Commissioner (Admn),GHMC may be requested to issue necessary

proceedings in this regard.

proceedings in this regard duly appointing Co-coordinators/ Conveners on each of the
Committees with expertise in the subject and Committees to convene the meetings at
the behest of the H.W. Mayor, GHMC.

4. In view of the above, the matter placed before the Standing Committee to
accord approval, with pending approval of the Corporation, GHMC.
