File Level Encryption from KSC

Open KSC in Windows Server

Select Policies from console tree


Select KES for Windows policy and configure policy

Select Data Encryption and Select File Level Encryption


click on add button select files by extension

select txt and pdf extensions for encryption. Click ok


Rules are defined for encryption select according to rules and apply and ok

check logs in windows 10 VM you see the KES log in data encryption started and finished.
These are the txt and pdf files so the encryption is applied on these files

Right click on network and open network and internet settings

Select network and sharing center option


Select change advanced sharing settings

Turn on everything here from private guest domain and all networks.
Right click on the downloads where your txt and pdf and select properties go in sharing

Click on advanced sharing and give administrator password and yes then select everyone
and allow permissions as you want click apply and ok.

Copy the network path


Go in your host machine paste the network path in the search button you will be popped up
with the user credentials of your that account that folder you are sharing in my case
Username : MYLAB\user1 ---- Password : mrmg9585.

Here is share folder files

Open the files the txt will be encrypted and pdf will not open encryption completed.
