Today’s Task:

You will research 3 of Canada’s provinces and territories. Begin by

choosing 3, making sure to choose at least 1 territory.

Next, complete the slides attached to this assignment to show your

understanding of each province or territory. Make sure that you are
copying and pasting the links to the website you used when asked.

The most important part of today’s task is that you write all of the
information in your own words. Copying and pasting information from
websites does not show your understanding. You must read the
websites, make sure that you understand the information, and then
rephrase what you read using your own words.

Your task will be graded using the rubric attached to this assignment.
New York State

______
State ______
State

New York state is on the east coast of the United States. Canada is north of New York state.
Specifically, Ontario (including Lake Ontario) and Quebec. Lake Erie, one of the other 5 Great
Lakes, is on the west side of the state. Many American states are west of New York, like
Vermont, Massachusetts, and Connecticut. Even further east is the Atlantic Ocean. South of
New York state is Pennsylvania. Pennsylvania is large state that covers the entire south side of
New York.

1. The most popular city to visit in the state is New York City. One thing people can do there is visit the
Empire State building. The Empire State Building is a very large building that overlooks the entire city.
New York City is also the most populated U.S. city, so the Empire State Building has a view unlike any
other in the country.
2. Another popular place to visit in New York State is The Cat Skills. The Cat Skills has a lot of mountains
that can be enjoyed in both the summer and winter. It is unique because although it it is close to big cities
(it’s less than 3 hours from New York City), it is almost entirely wilderness.

I would recommend New York State to adventurous people in their 30s or 40s. I think this
would be the best type of person for two reasons. First, New York State is mostly made up
of big cities and large areas of wilderness. Young adults are both interested in busy cities
and physically able to do things like hike and ski. People younger or older may become
overwhelmed by chaotic cities and too tired to enjoy the outdoors. Secondly, New York
State can be a very expensive place to visit. It might be too expensive for someone in their
20s, or someone older who is close to retirement. People in their 30s or 40s have a little bit
more money to spend, so they could fully enjoy New York State and all its attractions. For
these two reasons, I believe an adventurous person in their 30s or 40s would be the best
visitor for New York State.
Nova Scotia

Nova Scotia borders the Bay of Fundy and Gulf of Maine to the
west and the Atlantic Ocean to the south and east, and is
separated from Prince Edward Island and the island of
Newfoundland by the Northumberland Cabot straits, respectively.

Nova Scotia tour awaits you from Yarmouth to Meat Cove

1. You can enjoy beaches, coastal hiking adventures, whale watching, national
parks, and charming seaside towns and bustling city nights.
2. And you can savour our seafood, fresh produce, and locally-inspired menus. Pair
it with our wines, beer, cider and spirits crafted by talented producers.

I would recommend Nova Scotia to those who want to rest

and relax in the 40s to 60s .I think this would be the best type
of person for two reasons. First Nova Scotia’s beaches are
really good for sunbathing. Also Nova Scotia is the most
peaceful province in Canada. Secondly Nova Scotia is a great
place for those who want to see them because of Nova Scotia
is many natural beauty spots and museums.

British Columbia is the westernmost province of Canada. Situated between the

Pacific Ocean and the continental divide of the Rocky Mountains, the province
has a diverse geography, replete with rugged landscapes that include rocky
coastlines, sandy beaches, forests, lakes, mountains, inland deserts and grassy
plains. British Columbia borders the Canadian province of Alberta to the east
and the Canadian territories of Yukon and the Northwest Territories to the north.

1. The most popular city to visit in the province is Vancouver. One thing people can do there is visit
the Stanley Park. Stanley Park is North America's third-largest park draws eight million visitors
per year, many of whom may skate or walk past you on the Seawall, a scenic, 5.5-mile path
running along the water on the park's perimeter.
2. Another popular place is Granville Island. Granville Island was former industrial site has been
transformed into an artsy, posh neighborhood with quaint shops, cafes and bookstores.

I would recommend British Columbia to those who want to find

Adventure in the 25s-35s. I think this would be the best type of
person for two reason. First British Columbia has very unique and
rocky situated place that are perfect for those who are the
interested in mountain climbing or hiking. Secondly you can
skyride and fishing. They also prepared many of events and
program for the those who want to find adventure people.

Nunavut is a Canadian territory located in the northern part of

Canada, in the Continent of North America. It is geographically
positioned in the Northern and Western hemispheres of the Earth.
About half of Nunavut's landmass is situated above the Arctic
Circle.

1. If you want to travel to Nunavut, you must see the aurora borealis. Aurora borealis is the
most beautiful nature phenomenon in the world. The aurora can be seen in Nunavut and
it’s really beautiful
2. The other thing you must see in Nunavut is dog sledding. Imagine dozens of huskies
dragging you to your destination.

I would recommend Nunavut to those who fan of nature

phenomenal and who like cold weather. I think this would
be the best type of person for two reason. First Nunavut is
located in the northern part of Canada and due to its very
cold weather, the aurora borealis is visible. Secondly it is
very cold here and you can only find animals that live in
cold places.
