of power shortage under freezing temperatures. No electrical power is needed.

 Important
User & equipment safety
 The activation of the anti-freeze valve kit will drain the water out of the heat pump. A
correct installation of the heat pump includes a drainage point on the ground to prevent
the formation of ice or black ice (slippery floor).
 Always depressurize the water circuit before removing any part of this kit.
 The lowest end of the valve kit shall be positioned at minimum 15 cm of the ground.
 The pipes of the outdoor circuit should be slightly inclined towards the antifreeze kit.
 Avoid any corrosive product when cleaning the anti-freeze valve kit. Please refer to the
EN maintenance guidelines at the end of this document.

 Do not use glycol when the anti-freeze valve kit is fitted as the anti-freeze valves may be
activated in the operating range of the glycol. In case of adding glycol despite our
recommendations, make sure that the drained glycol water in case of activation of the
anti-freeze valve kit is conducted to a collecting tank to avoid spillage of glycol water in
the environment.

Important: Do not add any insulation to the kit. Keep it away from any heating source.

Use PTFE band or any appropriate sealing material to ensure sealing (To be supplied by the
EN installer). Recommended tightening torque: 50 Nm.

The anti-freeze security valve must be in a vertical position.

EN Note: If the complete outdoor water circuit needs to be protected, an additional anti-freeze kit must be
mounted at each low point.

Periodic control of the antifreeze valve (recommended frequency: once a year):

Stop the unit to depressurize the water circuit. Close the stop/shut off valves of the installation.
Unscrew the antifreeze valves and place taps to close the cross-section fittings of the kit to avoid water loss.
Cover both valves with ice-cold water (below +1°C). The valves should open completely within 5 minutes.
EN Use a small stream of icy water and verify that it flows correctly through the valves.
Once you have checked that the valves are opened and that the icy water can flow through the valves, cover
them with water at +7°C. They will close again.
The test is positive if: The valve have opened after the 5’ in ice-cold water, the icy water was able to flow
through easily, and they close tightly after 5’ in water over 7°C.
