 Our client is a giant in the Fast-Moving Electrical
Goods (FMEG) space. They are India’s most trusted
brands, and with extensive geographic footprints,
the company enjoys unparalleled goodwill and
recall. The client deals in various electrical and
power distribution equipment products such as
switchgear, cables and wires, motors, water heater,
fans, commercial and industrial applications and
more.

Problem Statement:
For our client, manually maintaining the Credit Management was effortful and arduous. They faced
several challenges due to the incompetency of manual processing. The business leaders failed to gain
real-time data insights to make timely decisions. The client needed an automated Credit Management
solution to streamline their process, increase productivity, make decisions, and remain competitive in
the market.

Business Challenge:
1. Manual Credit Management was an arduous and effortful process for the client. There were four
processes under the rubric of Credit Management: Payment Upgradation (first time in a day), Bill
Discounting, Payment Upgradation, and Bill Posting. Manual working on these processes involved
much effort and time of the employees.
2. Credit Management is a complex process and processing them manually becomes a breeding
ground for possible human errors, missed entries, etc. And Credit Reports with errors are a threat
to the company’s finance department. Errors in the reports also led to poor cash flow for the client.
3. With manual Credit Management, it became difficult for the client to enforce policies and adhere
to company and governmental regulations. Non-compliant processes imposed involuntary penalties
on the company, causing further financial damages.
4. The main challenge for the client was a lack of visibility and control. The business leaders could
not receive real-time data visibility and control over the finances; it directly affected the company’s
liquidity.

RPA Solutions:
1. The client sought to completely revamp their
Credit Management process using RPA
solutions. They initiated its digital journey with
its digital partner, RPATech based on our deep
industry expertise. After consulting the client
on RPA solutions, we used our in-house
methodologies—D3OTM and AugurDTM—to
thoroughly check the client’s existing business
operations, identify the bottlenecks, and
create a well-coordinated workflow to
optimize overall business performance.
2. RPATech suggested using the UiPath platform,
helping organizations automate repetitive
administrative business processes. We
customized an RPA Bot on the UiPath platform,
considering the client’s unique requirements.
3. The Bot starts with logging into three different
bank portals and downloading respective bank
statements. Next, the Bot filters data from the
downloaded bank statements according to the
pre-defined business rules. After filtering the
data, the Bot accesses the SAP application and
updates payment using TX code ‘ZFICFN’.
Further, the Bot discounts the dealers as per
the credit limit allocated.
4. Later, the Bot updates payment on the SAP
application according to the ‘base sheet’
provided by the client. Lastly, it posts bills in
the SAP and sends the consolidated Excel
sheet via email to the specified person.
