Step 1 - Reading & Questions

a. What aspects of a lesson would you be most interested in studying, while using a
video recording of a lesson?
• Management of learning styles.
• Voice management (pitch, modulation, pronunciation and speed)
• participation and interpretation of the students on the subject.
• Management of ICT and teaching tools.
• Evaluation techniques
• Development of the topic

b. Do you think a video recording of a lesson can be used to assess a teacher’s teaching
practice? Why or why not?

• I believe that a video is the best way to evaluate the teaching practice because in
this way the student in training can identify what can be improved and the
tutors can also see the class in detail or can repeat the video, give a note and do
a good analysis.

c. What are some advantages of keeping an electronic journal?

• The electronic planner is excellent for good class planning. If there is

organization in class planning, there will be significant student learning. It also
helps to identify points for improvement and take different opinions.

d. What might be an advantage of keeping journal entries over a long period of time and
looking back over them from time to time?

• Entering information in the diary for a long time can be good for the teacher to
keep track of the students and identify the progress they have made. It's also
great for teachers because they can analyze and identify their progress and
professional growth. This information can also be used at times to motivate
students, based on their progress, and to conduct self-assessment or self-
analysis activities.
