SINCE.

JUST:

We use it to express that an action took place


recently.

Example: I had JUST finished my homework.

Before the verbs and after de auxiliary.


Used for actions that have not taken
place yet, but we are expecting them to
happen.

Example: I still haven’t read the book.

Always before the verb.


FOR:

To talk about periods of time.

Example: I had not seen her for


two weeks.

It goes right before the period of time we


want to express.
SINCE:

It indicates when a particular period


started.

Example: We had been friends since 2015.

It goes before the period we want to express.
