Employment visa (D/AM)

The long-stay visa for employment is granted to foreigners on the basis of the
work permit issued by the General Inspectorate for Immigration - Ministry of Internal
Affairs, in accordance with the law, with the exception of the work permit for
posted workers.
1. The visa application must be accompanied by the following documents:
2. passport valid for at least three months longer than the duration of stay;
3. two recent 3cm x 4cm color photographs on a white background;
4. the visa form duly completed in the eVisa portal;
5. Travel ticket;
6. letter of recommendation from the recruitment agency;
7. medical insurance valid for one day more than the period of stay to cover the
equivalent of 30,000 euros;
8. proof of insured accommodation;
9. copy of the work permit issued by the General Inspectorate for Immigration or,
as the case may be, documents proving that the applicant falls into the
categories provided for in art. 44, para. (3) of the Government's Emergency
Ordinance No. 194/2002, regarding the regime of foreigners in Romania, with
subsequent amendments and additions;
10. proof of means of maintenance at the level of the minimum gross salary
guaranteed in payment for the entire period entered in the visa;
11. criminal record certificate or other document with the same legal value, issued
by the authorities in the state of domicile or residence, legalized or apostilled
by the competent authorities;
12. The foreigner can apply for a long-stay visa for employment within 60 days from
the date of handing over the work permit. The visa is approved by the National
Visa Center within 10 days from the date of submission of the visa application.

The consular fee is paid in cash and is the INR equivalent of 120 euros
