the jar features two human figures with arms crossed on the chest representing the
traditional practice of the corps riding a boat. This artifact signifies the belief of the early
Filipinos in the Afterlife. The Mununggul Jar is a National Treasure of the Philippines. The

Conclusion: The Filipinos were being tricked by the idea of Marcelo H. del Pilar’s Dasalan
at Tocsohan by believing whatever the friars told them, but in reality, it is not true. In order to
force people to worship and follow them, the friars used their position, authority, and God
against the Filipino people. On the other hand, the Catechism is used to preach the
teachings of God and to inspire people. The purpose of this context is to assist Filipinos in
understanding the teachings of the Bible.

contributions to the Philippines. Their contributions are now a part of our lives and have
become a part of our existence. But the arrival of the Spaniards gave us Filipinos difficulties
since they deprived us of our freedom and deaths in the past. That’s why it is called “Dilim”.
It is important for the generations of today and future to find out about the colonial history of
their country. This will help them think more critically about their country's history.
