CAUSES:
1-Britain felt threatened that is might be overtaken by Germany as an industrial power.
2- France and Britain was not happy about this.
3-When Archduke Franz Ferdinand was killed by Serbian student ,Austria declared war on
Sebia in retaliation.
4-Both countries formed alliances and this way the war expanded into a world war.
5-At that time Germany considered itself to be very strong nation and wanted to dominate
the world especially Europe.

CONSEQUENCES:
1-In the end thousands of men lost their lives.
2-Central powers,Germany,Turkey, Austria with their allies were defeated.
3-Many new countries came into being namely, Czechlosovakia and Yogoslavia.
4-Germany was made to pay huge sums of money called reparations
5-Germany has to sign the peace settlement called the Treaty of Versailles was drawn up by
allied forces
6-The OTTOMAN empire after ruling for 400 years was defeated.
7-This give new hopes to India and that perhaps that British Empire could be the next fall.

CAUSES:
1- In 1939, after a number of aggressive acts in Europe ,Germany invaded Poland and
refused to pull out.
2- Britain and France declare War on Germany to counter this.

CONSEQUENCES :
1- In the end the allied were victorious.
2- the USA and the USSR emerged as the new World Super Power .
3- the end of this war Britain to came to a decision about leaving India.
4-WW Il saw the dropping of atomic bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki by the allied thus
ending the war
