How to repurpose your ideas using the Sniper &

Shotgun Method

Ialways struggled with the expression that you should say one idea one thousand different ways, but then systemised I

the process.

Enter, the Sniper-Shotgun method.

Your original post is the sniper shot that hits the bullseye, entering the Hall of Fame.

A shotgun sprays in many directions. You write more ideas based on the original, then schedule them weekly for the next
few months (depending on how many you write).

The best part is, if the repurposed content (shotgun) performs well, it’s entered into your Hall of Fame. It’s an iterative
process that compounds over time.

Let’s do one together. I’ll take an idea from the Hall of Fame and create some more (please watch the video).

That’s 8 pieces of short form content written in what, 5 minutes? Maybe 15 minutes for you? Plus 3 longer form ideas if I

decide to pursue them.

When scheduling, make sure you don’t say the same thing twice in a day, but otherwise, don’t worry about repetition.
Remember, a great message wears in, not out. Your audience is telling you what they enjoy — give it to them!

And that’s the Sniper-Shotgun method.

Set aside time to do this once a week, and over time, you’ll have a clear of idea what works, and most of your short form
will be taken care of. rarely have short form writing sessions because of how much is scheduled out — freeing up time
I

and focus.

But you can take this further and make your words work harder.

In the next lesson, let’s discuss reposting your work and the ‘pillar piece’ concept for making long form simple.
