8 magnitude earthquake in Turkey

On February 6th 2023, a 7.8 magnitude earthquake struck terror in the streets of Turkiye. This
earthquake was the biggest in the countries history, chasing back to the 1939 earthquake. An
estimated 14 million people were effected and 1.5 million people were left homeless. The
confirmed death toll in turkey rolled up to about 53,537 people. This earthquake also effected
neighboring country Syria.

In neighboring country Syria, the earthquake deeply increased the death counts the ongoing
war. Over 3.6 million kids were affected.

In reflection towards the effects of earthquakes, the earthquake in Turkey was horrific and
destroyed alot of the city. This shows that earthquakes can greatly affect the world.
