ASSIGNMENT 2 – LITERATURE REVIEW

Aim :
Develop students’ knowledge and understanding to the process of writing literature review, writing
referencing/citations, and understanding plagiarism.

Instructions:
This is a continuation of Assignment 1.
For the report, students should use Arial 12 font and 1.5 spacing with justified alignment.

Task :
Choose ONE (1) topic/title within the construction industry that you would be interested to conduct
research on. This could be the topic from your assignment 1 or any other topic that has been endorsed
by your lecturer.
You are to complete the following :

1. Find five (5) articles from refereed journals – UiTM library online Database, Google 15
Scholar, etc. (2023 - 2018) which are relevant to your topic.

Develop a literature matrix based on the five (5) journal articles to help you in writing the
literature review. The literature review matrix produced should be in table form with
information on author/year, title, aim, methodology, findings and conclusions pertaining
to each article.
2. Write a literature review based on the five (5) journal articles previously identified in (1). 15

Your literature review should contain an introduction, the ‘body’ or main content of the
literature and a conclusion, which should not be more than 1500 words. You should make
sure that the articles you choose as your citation are significant and relate to your
research.
