Social interaction
A social interaction is an exchange
between two or more individuals and is a
building block of society. Social
interaction can be studied between
groups of two, three or larger social
groups. By interacting with one another,
people design rules, institutions and
systems within which they seek to live.
Factors Driving Social Interaction

1. Imitation
2. Identification
3. Suggestion
4. Motivation
5. Sympathy
6. Empathy
 Characteristics of social interaction
The number of perpetrators is more
than one
Because interaction requires action and
reaction
There is communication using certain
symbols.
The most common symbol used to
communicate is language. One thing that
needs to be considered is that the symbols
conveyed must be understood by the
communicating parties so that the
communication runs smoothly.
There is a time dimension of past,
present, and future.
This means that in every social interaction
there is a time context that determines the
boundaries of the interaction.
There is a goal to be achieved
The goal can determine whether the
interaction will lead to cooperation or lead
to conflict.
 Conditions of Social Interaction

According to experts, there are 2 requirements for social interaction,

namely :

1. Social Contact 2. Communication

In the process, social contact can take place
in three forms, Namely :
- Between individuals
- Between individuals and a group
- Between one group and another group
can be divided into two, namely verbal and
nonverbal communication. Verbal
communication is direct while non-verbal
communication is communication indirectly
or using liaison media such as telephone,
electronic mail and even via social media
messages.
