Example D
This is an example of an excellent TOK essay that was awarded a mark of 10/10. There are some minor flaws with the essay,
but these imperfections are not enough to prevent the essay being placed in the top band of the assessment instrument.
The candidate has engaged thoughtfully with the title and the use of absolutes (always and never) in the wording of the
title. The examples used are effective and the candidate makes a sophisticated distinction between direct and indirect
collaboration.
