RESEARCH PROBLEM:
The aim of this study is to construct a Barangay
Health Center that will accommodate the residents
and meet the standard service and facility
requirements of the residents of Barangay Cofradia
in Malolos City, Bulacan. Additionally, the study will
investigate how the renovation will contribute to
enhancing community healthcare in the said area.

RESEARCH DESIGN:
The study employs a mixed method design as
defined by George (2021). Mixed methods research
combines elements of quantitative research and
qualitative research in order to answer your research
question. Mixed methods can help you gain a more
complete picture than a standalone quantitative or
qualitative study, as it integrates benefits of both
methods.

SAMPLE:
The researcher will collect data from The residents of
barangay Cofradia in The city of Malolos Bulacan
through convenient sampling.

INSTRUMENT:
• Utilized a meticulously crafted semi-structured survey questionnaire blending open-
ended and closed-ended questions to gauge resident level of satisfaction and experiences
at the health center.
• Developed an interview protocol with open-ended questions to comprehensively
understand the perspectives of Local Government Units (LGUs) or officials affiliated with
the health center.
• Employed a structured instrument with open-ended queries to gather insights from
professionals regarding essential features and design considerations of a Community
Health Center.
• Validated the questionnaire through input from five experts, including educators and
architects, ensuring robustness and reliability of the research instruments.

DATA COLLECTION PROCEDURE:


The researchers will gather data through face-to-face
interactions and Google Forms participation invites. Data
will be collected from three groups: residents and local
government units (LGUs) of Barangay Cofradia, as well as
architects or engineers in the City of Malolos, Bulacan.
Participants' responses will be kept confidential. For
respondents under 18, consent forms will be necessary.

DATA ANALYSIS:
• Data scoring: Categorical variables were assigned numerical values, facilitating quantitative analysis of
open-ended and close-ended responses, including a four-point Likert scale.
• Data interpretation: Verbal interpretations and corresponding intervals were established for levels of sat-
isfaction and experiences of residents toward the health center services.
• Data presentation: Utilization of tables and graphs to summarize resident perceptions on health center
facilities, services, and features in Barangay Cofradia, Malolos City, Bulacan.
• Statistical software: SPSS (Statistical Package for Social Sciences) employed for coding and analyzing
responses, ensuring accuracy through the elimination of missing data and seeking additional respondents.
• Descriptive statistics: Mean and standard deviation utilized to evaluate community perception of health-
care services regarding the proposed Health Center in Barangay Cofradia, Malolos City, Bulacan.
• Thematic analysis: Qualitative data from open-ended questions analyzed using thematic analysis, a
method focusing on identifying common themes, topics, and patterns of meaning, facilitating comprehen-
sion of perceptions, opinions, experiences, and values derived from qualitative responses.
