Subject: INTERNATIONAL FORESTS DAY CELEBRATIONS WITH THE

VISION OF WORTHY CM PUNJAB “PLANT FOR PAKISTAN”.
Apropos the directions received from Additional Secretary (Special
Initiatives) Higher Education Department via whatsapp on 20-03-
2024 at 9:50 PM on the subject referred to supra.

2. All the Directors of Education (Colleges) Punjab, Deputy Directors of

Education (Colleges) Punjab and the Principals of the Graduate & Associate
Colleges across Punjab, whether they have already conducted the tree plantation
activity in their respective Districts, Divisions and Colleges or not, are directed to
execute the activity of tree plantation to celebrate the World Forests Day, 2024
tomorrow on 21st March, 2024, with full zeal, zest and national fervour. The
following poster along with its contents be used by all while executing the plantation
activities tomorrow with wider usage of college websites, Facebook pages, social
media platforms, National Print and Electronic Media channels etc.
3. All the Directors, Deputy Directors of Education Colleges across
Punjab and the Principals of the Colleges shall observe the 21st of March, 2024 as
INTERNATIONAL FORESTS DAY with full dedication and commitment.

4. The following link of the application, developed by the PITB, available

on Play Store, has already been shared with all, must be downloaded and installed
for the geo tagging of the plants to be planted tomorrow by all.

5. The Competent Authority/the worthy Secretary to Government of the

Punjab, Higher Education Department has further desired that the activity of
plantation shall continue in both the seasons and will be a continuous exercise to be

6. In addition to the above, you are all directed to encourage your

employees to use the “Plant for Pakistan Application” to participate in the drive.

7. The entries must be made through the application as well as by sending

the trees received and planted data to the Directorate through email.
