ABSTRACT
This research was motivated by the low learning outcomes of students in
the aspect of knowledge caused by the lack of use of learning media. This has an
impact on 56% of students not achieving the minimum competencies standard.
This study aims to determine the effect of the application of comic media on fifth-
grade students learning outcomes in natural science learning on the human
digestive system at SD Negeri 10 Lubuk Besar.
This study used a quantitative approach with the quasi-experimental
design method with a nonequivalent control group design. The sample collection
technique used a saturated sampling technique. The entire population was used as
a sample which consisted of 23 students for the experimental class and 23
students for the control class.
Based on the results of data analysis, it is known that the average value of
the experimental class is 80.30 and the average value of the control class is 67.09,
as well as testing the hypothesis using the independent sample t test, the value of
ttable is 2.015 ≤ tcount= 12.986, then ho is rejected and ha is accepted. It can be
concluded that there is an influence of comic media on fifth-grade students
learning outcomes in science learning on the human digestive system at SD
Negeri 10 Lubuk Besar.
