A Crochet pattern by Happy Cactus Crochet

Materials:

1) 3.00 mm hook
(I use this hook to match my yarn (yarn which
recommends 4-5mm hooks)
2) DK / Light Worsted Yarn - green, cream beige,
black, white, light green, purple, red, pink
3) Polyester fiberfill (toy stu ng)
4) 8 mm safety eyes
5) tapestry needle
6) fabric glue

*USE A HOOK SIZE SMALLER THAN


RECOMMENDED ON THE YARN*
This will help to reduce holes in the amigurumi.

Abbreviations: *This pattern uses US crochet terms*

Spine - (Neck support)

WITH CREAM BEIGE:

Eye embroidery:

Using tapestry needle and black yarn, sew a line


going over the eyes to the side of the eye.

Then, using white yarn, sew a line around the


bottom outside edge of the eyes.

Eyebrow embroidery:

Using tapestry needle and brown yarn, sew


eyebrows above the eyes.
- Each line about 4 sts wide
- 2 - 3 rnds above the eye
Nose embroidery:

Using tapestry needle and cream beige yarn,


make a couple of sts of approx 3 sts wide.
- 1 rnd below the eyes.

Fasten o and leave the end long.


Using tapestry needle and the tail end from the
fins, sew one on each side of the tip of the tail.

Weave in the ends.

Using tapestry needle and the tail end from the


tail end from the tail waist,
sew it around the waist just above where the
color changes from cream beige to green.
With the 2 ends meeting at the front of the doll´s
waist.

Weave in the ends.

ARMS:

WITH BEIGE:
Rnd 1: ch 2, sc 6 in second chain from hook
(magic circle) (6)
Rnd 2: sc 2 in each st around (12)
Rnd 3 - 4: sc in each st around (12)
Rnd 5: sc 2 tog around (6)
Rnd 6 - 15 (10 rnds): sc in each st around (6)
Fasten o and leave the end long.

REPEAT for the 2nd arm.

Using tapestry needle and the tail end from the


arms, sew one on each side of the body.

Weave in the ends.


TOP:

WITH PURPLE:
Ch 19

Rnd 1: starting in the 2nd ch from the hook:


Sc in each st along (18)
Rnd 2: ch 1 & turn,
(sc in next 5 sts, sc 2 in next st) along (21)

Rnd 3: ch 1 & turn,

- Sc in next 6 sts,

- Dc 5 in 2nd st along, sc in 2nd st along,

- Dc 5 in 2nd st along, sc in 2nd st along,

- Sc in next 7 sts.

Fasten o and leave the end long.

Wrap the top around the body with the shells at


the front.

Using tapestry needle and the tail end from the


top,
Sew up the seam at the back of the top.

Then sew around the top to connect it to the


body.

HAIR:

Hair wig part 1:

Rnd 1: ch 2, sc 6 in second chain from hook

HAIR WIG SHOULD BE APPLIED WRONG SIDE UP.

Pin the hair wig part 1 onto the top of the head

● Rnd 1 of the hair wig (part 1) should be on


the centre of the top of the head.

● The first hair strand and last hair strand


should be on either side of the face.
(there is a small gap of a couple of sts
between the 1st & last hair strand that
should be at the top of the forehead)

● Pin down each hair strand side by side


around the head.
- Hair strands should be glued from the top Hair wig part 2:

Remove one hair strand at a time, apply fabric


glue to the hair strand, and pin it back in place

glue is completely dry!

HAIR WIG SHOULD BE APPLIED WRONG SIDE UP.

Pin the hair wig part 2 onto the top of the head

● Pin down each hair strand, starting with


the 2 short hair strands falling down onto
the forehead for the bangs. (strands 1 - 2)

- (The bangs should only be glued at the


base, then let them fall and curl freely)

● Pin the rest of the hair strands (strands 3 -


12) spread around the head.

- The rest of the hair strands should be


glued from the top of the head and down
the strand until in line with the top of the
eyebrows,
the rest of the hair strand can fall freely.

Remove one hair strand at a time, apply fabric


glue to the hair strand, and pin it back in place
on the head.
- Keep the hair pinned in place until the
glue is completely dry!
FLOWER:

WITH WHITE:
Rnd 1: ch 2, sc 6 in second chain from hook
(magic circle) (6)

COLOR CHANGE TO PINK:


Rnd 2:
- Ch 4,
- sc in each st along the ch sts (3)
- Sl st in next st along the original circle.

REPEAT in each st around the original circle to


make 6 petals in total.

Apply fabric glue and pin in place of the side of


the hair.

- Keep the flower pinned in place until the


glue is completely dry!
