all about?
Say: Very good! We will
now proceed to our next
lesson.
Lesson Proper

planets, moons, asteroids, due to the force of gravity,
and comets that orbits our just like how the Earth
Sun. Let's start by taking a orbits the Sun. 3.) Earth

gravitational attraction.
Say: Please pay attention
to the image on the
monitor.

B. Explore Say: "For our exploration Learners will actively

today, we're going to participate.
embark on an exciting
journey through our solar
system with a game called
Solar System Word Puzzle.
Are you all ready to
explore the wonders of
space?

Say: I will divide into 4

groups.

Directions: Find and circle

the solar system-related
words hidden within the
word search grid.

The words can be found

horizontally, vertically,
diagonally, and even
backward.

Say: I will give you 5

minutes to answer it
quietly.
C. Explain The solar system is a
vast and complex system
consisting of various
celestial bodies that are
bound together by gravity
and orbit around the sun.
At the center of the solar
system is the sun, a
massive, luminous sphere
of hot plasma that provides
light, heat, and energy to
the system. Surrounding
the sun are planets,
moons, asteroids, comets,
and other smaller objects.

Here's a breakdown of the

key components of the
solar system:

The Sun: The sun is a star

located at the center of the
solar system. It is
composed mainly of
hydrogen and helium and
generates energy through
nuclear fusion reactions in
its core. The sun's
immense gravitational pull
holds the solar system
together and governs the
orbits of the planets.

Planets: There are eight

planets in the solar system,
divided into two main
categories:
terrestrial (inner) planets
and gas giants (outer)
planets.
Terrestrial Planets:
Mercury, Venus, Earth, and
Mars are the terrestrial
planets. They are
characterized by their
solid, rocky surfaces and
relatively small sizes
compared to the gas
giants.
Gas Giants: Jupiter,
Saturn, Uranus, and
Neptune are the gas
giants. They are much
larger than the terrestrial
planets and primarily
composed of hydrogen and
helium. Gas giants lack
solid surfaces and have
thick atmospheres.

What is Moon? The Learner 1: Mary Ann

moon is Earth's most
constant companion and
the easiest celestial object
to find in the night sky. The
Moon is Earth's only natural
satellite. It orbits at an
average distance of
384,400 km, about 30
times the diameter of
Earth. Over time Earth's
gravity has caused tidal
locking, causing the same
side of the Moon to always
face Earth.
Asteroids and Comets:
Asteroids are small, rocky
bodies that orbit the sun,
primarily located in the
asteroid belt between Mars
and Jupiter.
Comets are icy bodies that
originate from the outer
regions of the solar system
and have highly elliptical
orbits.
They are known for their
bright comas and tails
when they approach the
sun. What are Dwarf
Planets? a dwarf planet
is a celestial body that -
orbits the sun, has enough
mass to assume a nearly
round shape, has not
cleared the neighborhood
around its orbit and is not a
moon.
Orbital Dynamics: The
planets and other objects in
the solar system orbit the
sun in elliptical paths, with
the sun at one focus of
each ellipse.

Formation and
Evolution: The solar
system formed
approximately 4.6 billion
years ago from a giant
molecular cloud of gas and
dust. Over time, gravity
caused this material to
collapse and form the sun
and other objects. The
formation and evolution of
the solar system have been
shaped by various
processes, including
accretion, collisions, and
gravitational interactions.
D. Elaborate Say: Alright, now that we've Learners will actively
covered the key participate
characteristics of the solar
system, let's dive into an
exciting activity that will
allow us to explore these
concepts in a hands-on way.

Say: Our activity for today is

called "Create Your Solar
System Model."
What to do: Design and
make a model of solar
system.

A sample can be seen

below.

After creating their models,

students will prepare a brief
presentation explaining their
model.

Exploration"

What to do: Conduct

research on one celestial
body in the solar system.
This could be a planet,
moon, asteroid, comet, or
other significant object.

Create a presentation to
showcase your research
findings. You can use
PowerPoint, Google Slides,
Prezi, or any other
presentation software of
your choice.

Say: Write this on your

assignment notebook and
pass it on our next
meeting.
Finished Say: See you and have a
nice day. :)
