Homework: How`s the weather in your city?

Objective: The student is able to describe the weather and use the vocabulary related to
the climate conditions in a very practical and basic way.

Writing Activity
Your friend Sally is in Chicago now. The weather there is cold and windy becuase it is fall.
Write an email to her about how the weather is in your city. Send picture of your city to
explain better the weather conditions.

This is Sally`s email,

Dear friend,
How are you? In Chicago is Fall. The trees are all yellow and orange color. it sometimes
rains but the weather is usually cold and wet. People have umbrellas and raincoat because
it is windy and rainy. Children play on the Street with the tres leaves. This season is very
beautiful and colorful.
How is the weather in your city?

I hope you are well, I'm great. In my city Cali Colombia the weather is usually hot
and sunny; very rarely rains. People like to go to the pool to cool off and have a
cold beer. Families enjoy picnicking in the park. In my city we wear fresh clothes to
be comfortable…
