In activity A we can present a vocabulary to students by:

Context are hints about the meaning of an unknown word that are provided in the words, phrases, and
sentences that surround the word. Context clues include definitions, restatements, examples, or
descriptions. Because students learn most word meanings indirectly or from context, it is important that
they learn to use context clues effectively.

Think of a clear context when the word is used and either describe it to the students or give them
example sentences to clarify meaning further.

Eg : The weather in Portland is often rainy.

As we were walking along the beach, it started to get windy.

It looks cloudy; you should bring an umbrella in case it rains.

I like hot, lazy days on the beach.

I want to go anywhere that's sunny and mild.

On sunny days, I like to take the kids to the beach.

Rainy days are the best time to stay home and read a book.

Definition

Make sure that it is clear (maybe check in a learner dictionary before the lesson if you are not
confident). Remember to ask questions to check they have understood properly.

Eg: The weather is sunny when there are no clouds blocking the sunlight and the temperature is warm.

The weather is cloudy when there are lots of clouds in the sky that get in the way of the sun.

Rainy weather happens when there are large clouds in the sky that produce rain.

Snowy days usually happen in winter, when precipitation falls as snow instead of rain

The situations when the word is or is not used

Is it formal/neutral/informal? For example, spectacles/glasses/specs. Is it used mainly in speech or in

writing? To sum up is usually written whereas mind you is spoken. Is it outdated?

We can practice vocabulary by having conversation about what we have already learned, for example
ask students to form group and discuss about weather like today and weather of yesterday

Give some exercise reelected with what students have already learned as a task to show them
knowledge for example:

Giving this kind of exercise students must answer and then you as a teacher will know that you students
they understand or no

Another mode to practice vocabulary or what have already learned is actually at the end of lessen try to
cover all stuff or everything that you as a teacher have tough like summarize so the monitor must make
the topic suitable to make students carry on with a conversation about the topic because the teacher
tough and made clear in the same way students will enjoy outside and automatically they are practice
they vocabulary.
