A Detailed Lesson Plan in Teaching Social Studies 3

I. OBJECTIVES
At the end of the lesson the pupils are expected to:
A. identify the different weather in the Philippines and the activities to do and proper clothes to
wear;
B. describe the different clothes to wear according to the weather in the Philippines; and
C. show the importance of knowing the different weather in the Philippines.

One day, Anna and her family planned to have a trip


to the City of Pines, Baguio City. Anna is very
excited, she is jumping in happiness. She keeps on
asking her Mom, “Mommy what will I wear in our
trip?” “Ana you must wear something thick, because
it is cold in Baguio” her Mother said. “Oh, really
Mommy?” ”Should I bring a jacket? And a socks?
“Come on Mommy let’s pack our things!” Anna and
her Mom make sure that all the things and clothes
they bring are appropriate to the weather in Baguio
City.

Based on the story, what do you think will be our Weather teacher.

here in the Philippines and the approriate clothes to
wear.

When I hear the word weather I think it is
how cold, dry, hot, or wet the day is.
Let us first define what is weather.When you hear the

This means that we can only feel the presence of the
