How’s the weather like in your city?

Objective: Describe the weather and use the

vocabulary related to the climate conditions in a
very practical and basic way.

English Use, Grammar and Vocabulary:

 Present simple (affirmative, and negative

forms).
 Weather vocabulary.

Requirements:
 The written part must have at least 100
words.
 Use the present simple in affirmative and
negative forms for your answers.
 Use vocabulary about weather conditions.
 Be careful with the use of capital letters and punctuation marks.

Activity 1:

Your friend Sally is in Chicago now. The weather there is cold and windy becuase it is
fall. Write an email to her about how is the weather like in your city. Send picture of your
city to explain better the weather conditions. Pay attention to Sally’s short email:

Dear friend,

How are you? In Chicago is fall. The trees are all yellow and orange color. It sometimes
rains but the weather is usually cold and wet. People have umbrellas and raincoat
because it is windy and rainy. Children play on the Street with the trees leaves. This
season is very beautiful and colorful.

I hope you’re doing okay!
I’m currently living in Bogota, Colombia, this is the capital of the country, most of the times
it’s sunny and it’s normal to feel hot, sometimes you might experience some rain, I know it
sounds weird but it’s real, this city is called by many as “The 4 seasons City”. Around April
and May, which maybe we can call it Spring, however it is not official, it might be windy as
well.
My city is actually very funny, because in the morning you can experience such an amazing
weather but then in the afternoon it’ll be raining, but I love my city.
Part 2 Writing:

What is he doing?

Objective: Describe what the pink panther is

doing.

5. The white dog is barking because he’s seeing the pink panther moving.

7. The house owner is getting the dog out of the house because he is thinking the dog
was the one who’s stealing his dinner.
