1. What are the don’ts when you are at a job interview? (O que não se deve fazer quando
você está em uma entrevista de emprego?)

You shouldn’t be rude or appear lazy.

You can’t be poorly dressed or speak slang.

You mustn’t be tired or look sad.

2. Four people are being interviewed by Susan Thompson, HR manager at a company

that has a restaurant which makes frozen desserts that are shipped all across the
country. Just by looking at their photos, can you guess who might get the job?

Answer: So, I think I can do it. In my
opinion, who is more likely to get the job is Adam, but depends on the position in the
company. If it was in an administrative sector or something like that, it would be him because
he seems more prepared and professional than the others.

3. Watch the first minute of Adam’s interview and take notes about it.
Answer: He was calm and confident with his answers, seemed to be professional and
made a good impression. He was well dressed too. Maybe he needs a little more
authenticity, look like a machine that memorized what I was going to say may not be
so good.

4. Do you think Adam might be a good candidate for the job? Why?
Answer: I believe so, he was well dressed, was polite and spoke very well and very
confidently.

aspects.
Answer: He was late!! This is all.

6. Do you think John might be a good candidate for the job? Why?
Answer: No! Never! He arrived late and without a resume, he was talking like he was in
a bar.

Answer: Badly dressed, unprepared, she looked lazy and confused and even answered
her cell phone in the middle of the interview.

Answer: No way! She was totally without answers and things to get this job.

Answer: She was well dressed and very polite.

10. Do you think Mary might be a good candidate for the job? Why?
Answer: I think so, but maybe her lack of experience gets in the way.

11. After watching the four videos, who, in your opinion, might be the best candidate for
the job? Why?
Answer: For me, the best candidate it was Adam, he is prepared, professional and
experienced.

12. Mary used this expression when she talked about her previous job.

“It was graveyard and I need to work days.”

What do you think the word graveyard means in this context?
