After installing Eclipse, you can proceed to install the ABAP Development Tool.
Once the installation is complete, you will have access to the ABAP
perspective.
Window -> open perspective -> other -> ABAP.

Steps to configure SAP backend for development: -

1. Open eclipse. Go to file -> New -> ABAP project.

2. Choose the SAP backend system which you want from the list of SAP
system connections. Click Next.
OR
If you want to add a new system connection, then click on new system
connection.

Enter system details, it will add your system to the list of SAP system
connections.
3. After that enter system login details. Click finish.
4. The ABAP project has been created. It represents a system connection to
your chosen SAP system.
