11.00 Load Combinations

The following combinations of loads and forces shall be considered for the
design of vessels and their supports including anchor bolts.
Calculations shall contain stress analysis at various points for the
following three conditions:
11.01 Erection (all loads & forces are additive)
a Dead weight of the vessel, excluding internals, packings,
insulation, fireproofing, piping and platforms supported from the vessel
b Wind load or earth quakes load whichever is greater
c Testing or flushing in operation position(all loads & forces are additive)
d Dead weight of vessel, including all internals, insulation, fireproofing, piping
and platforms supported from the vessels
e Weight of water for testing or flushing the vessel
f Pressure applied for testing and static head

11.02 Normal operation (all loads & forces are additive)

a Dead weight of vessel, including all internals, insulation, fire-proofing and
platforms supported from the vessels
b Operating weight of fluid
c Design pressure and static head
