the battle of living together forever as they grow older and grey. After Sinothando was rejected from
University of Zululand because she didn’t meet the requirements for the course she wanted which was

for about a year or maybe never see each again other because James was going at the University of
Johannesburg and he had no hope of coming back until he finished his studies in sound engineering.
It was messy journey to both of them but as much as they wanted to keep their love alive they also

for the first in 2 years and Sinothando was about to be on her periods a day after the contact so she
got pregnant even thou a child is the gift from god but they never plan any of that. Sinothando
discovered that after 8 six weeks when she noticed her sudden changes on her body structure and
she started having mood swings and her mother Mrs Maseko noticed everything but she was waiting
for Sinothando to convince everything to her. Remember James has no idea that she is pregnant so
she told her friend Fikile about the changes in her body immediately she suggested that Sinothando
takes a pregnancy test to be sure that she is really pregnant or what. They made a test at Fikile’s
home and the test confirmed that she is really pregnant she freaked out a bit because what but then
she realised that she has to tell her mother and James about the news. So she left Fikile’s home and
she was so scared worried about her studies at the same time about what her mother will say when
she hears the news however whether she like it or not she has to tell her mother either way. When her
mother heard the news she didn’t freak out but she asked the father of the unborn child and Sinothando
told her mother the father of her unborn child and they prepared to go at James’s home to report the
pregnancy to his parents. Cekiso family was shocked by the news but then they came to an agreement
and when they called James who is their son luckily he didn’t deny that the child might be his. So the

FIKILE: That’s a lame excuse I have had in my life Don.
DON: It’s not an excuse guys I really don’t know.
JAMES: (slowly walking out of the shop and he didn’t notice they arrived) Don? Where are the girls?
DON: They’re already here bro.
JAMES: Damn! No wonder I didn’t see you guys you look so beautiful.
SINOTHANDO: Thanks a lot James.
FIKILE: I don’t blame you James for being surprised but what I can say we’re more beautiful than this.
Anyway thanks for the compliment.
JAMES: You are welcome ladies.
SINOTHANDO: So what were you doing inside the shop?
JAMES: I went buy these energy drinks.
FIKILE: Okay James.

DON: I think so also bro.
JAMES: Let’s go and find out bro. (the Uber driver stopped next to the shop James and Don went to
double check if it’s real their driver or what.)

ACT 1 SENCE 10
“As they arrived at the Blue Devils guesthouse it was busy but not too much so they tried to find the
right spot where they will chill. Luckily Don saw Luke who is the player of the Blue Devils FC so they
made a little conversation and Luke took them to the VIP room where all the players are at.”
DON: This place is beautiful guys but let’s look for the right spot to chill.
JAMES: I think we chill at the balcony there it seems to be a nice place to chill. (he pointed upstairs)
DON: Yeah it’s kinda cool but guys do you agree?
UBER DRIVER: No problem with me.
SINOTHANDO: Not that a complain guys.
FIKILE: Fine by me.
DON: James wait… isn’t that Luke? (he pointed at Luke)
JAMES: (James paid attention and he responded) Yeah that’s what is he doing here?
DON: Don’t tell me you don’t know bro huh?
JAMES: (James seemed to be shocked and lost) Don’t know what bro?
DON: The guy plays for the Blue Devils and I can win us a place in the VIP room.
UBER DRIVER: Really? (Alvis the uber driver was surprised about what Don said to them)
DON: Yeah Alvis and I can convince him to get us few sits in the VIP room.
SINOTHANDO: Okay then Don so what are you waiting for?
JAMES: Wait babe… Don’t pressure him I trust him he will do as he say but on his terms. All we can
do is wait for him.
DON: James she wasn’t giving me pressure bro I guess she wanted me not to waste time because
this might be my only chance.
SINOTHANDO: Exactly what I thought Don.
FIKILE: Approach him now Don.
UBER DRIVER: I think Sino is right bro.
DON: Let’s wait for to come on this side then I will approach him.
SINOTHANDO: What if he never arrived on this side Don?
UBER DRIVER: I agree with Sino guys. Go and approach him now.
DON: Chill bro he’s coming on this way so I will ask him as you see.
“As they were chilling at the balcony Luke was about to pass them and go back inside the guest house
luckily Don approached him”
DON: What’s up bro?
LUKE: I’m good and you?
DON: I’m good too bro. Anyway I need your help.
LUKE: What’s up bro?
DON: We just got here bro and we’re looking for the right spot so I was wondering that you can help
us.
LUKE: No problem bro as long as you are not going to cause problems when you guys are drunk it’s
fine.
DON: I promise that we won’t.
LUKE: Bro who is this “we” (he asked)
DON: Just me James Fikile Sinothando and the Uber guy.
LUKE: There is an extra table at the VIP room where my teammates are partying at. I need to talk with
coach before I bring company there.
DON: Okay so tell me how would I know the coach has agreed?
LUKE: I will come and tell you bro don’t worry about that.
DON: Okay bro I guess you will find me here when your coach has said something about what I’m
asking you to do for us.
LUKE: Chill bro I will come with the good news only and besides I don’t think he’s going to have a
problem. Not unless you and your friend didn’t know how to behave.
DON: You know what they say bro “beggars can’t be choosers”
LUKE: It’s all up to you and your friends bro.
DON: Come on bro stop acting like you don’t know me and besides you are my friend too so help a
friend out I promise you won’t regret it.
LUKE: Okay wait for me here I will be back right now.
DON: Okay bro I will be waiting.
LUKE: It won’t take long just few minutes. (Luke left to convince the coach for Don and his friends to
fill the that extra in the VIP table in the room luckily Mr Ngalo who is the coach I agreed. So Luke went
back to Don at the balcony)
DON: So? (he asked Luke with the hope of hearing the good news only)
LUKE: He agreed but…
DON: But what? (he started popping out eyes and he looked worried)
LUKE: I’m kidding bro it’s nothing by the way I wish I had a mirror with me so we see yourself. (he
laughed)
DON: Come on bro stop playing like that. I almost fainted bro I swear. (he laughed too)
LUKE: I can Imagine bro. (he laughed again)
DON: Just imagine a tall person like me fainting. How many minutes you think will take me to fall?
(then he laughed)
LUKE: 20 minutes or more anyway you tell me. (he laughed)
DON: Anyway bro let me tell the guys that the coach has agreed.
LUKE: Okay bro see you at VIP room.
“Luke left and Don was going to his friends and the Uber driver whose name is Alvis. They were happy
with the news and immediately they went to chill at the VIP room”
JAMES: So what did he say bro? (he asked)
FIKILE: We deserve to know and you have to speak now.
SINOTHANDO: I agree.
DON: Okay I will tell you…
UBER DRIVER: When?
JAMES: Give him a chance bro.
DON: Okay bro the coach has agreed and what I think right now is that we go there immediately.
JAMES: Do you suggest like that bro? (he asked)
SINOTHANDO: I think it’s a great idea guys.
FIKILE: Me too I agree.
JAMES: Where is Luke bro?
DON: He just left but I remember he said he will see us at the VIP room.
SINOTHANDO: Probably he must be at the VIP room.
FIKILE: Are you telling me that we’ll walk in there on our own without Luke?
UBER DRIVER: I thought this guy called Luke will go with us because I think it’s disrespecting going
there on our own. And besides I don’t wanna be stared like uninvited guest when we got there on our
own.
DON: So you’re suggesting we go with Luke too?
UBER DRIVER: Yeah (suddenly Luke popped up like corns in the pot and he agreed to go with them)
DON: Thank god. Finally you’re here I was started to get worried bro.
LUKE: About what? I was crystal clear to you that you can go inside the VIP room with you friends.
DON: Can we go with you please? (Luke agreed and they all went inside the VIP room)
MR NGALO: Hey Luke who are you friends?
LUKE: Coach this is Don James Sinothando Fikile and their uber driver Alvis.
MR NGALO: So why are they here?
LUKE: Remember you agreed that it’s fine if they came. Maybe you must have been forgotten Coach.
MR NGALO: I’m an old man Luke my boy and to be honest I forgot.
LUKE: I don’t blame you Coach.
MR NGALO: Tell your friends to feel comfortable.
LUKE: I’m sure they are hearing you Coach very well.
DON: Thank you so much Coach for warm welcoming.
MR NGALO: Pleasure son. By the way do make yourselves at home and there is much to drink and
eat.
JAMES: Thanks again Coach.
MR NGALO: Pleasure is all mine son. Luke?
LUKE: Yes Coach?
MR NGALO: Why don’t you offer your friends a table so they feel more comfortable and welcomed.
Please don’t forget to give them drink and food. Come on son these are your friends and you need
keep them happy and warm.
LUKE: Chill Coach honestly I got them.
DON: Come on bro. why don’t you offer us drinks?
LUKE: Okay bro chill. Firstly I gotta get a table and make sure that you’re okay then get you drinks

JAMES: Come on bro we’ll be okay just go get drinks for us. Besides we’ll find a place to chill ourselves.
DON: Tell him bro.
LUKE: Okay I will get you drinks guys.
DON: Can’t you see my friend Fikile is thirsty right now (he laughed)
FIKILE: Come on Don don’t piss me off please. (she laughed too)
SINOTHANDO: Don’t make us come on you like January bro.
DON: I’m sorry…
SINOTHANDO: I was just joking my dear friend.
JAMES: I thought you would be back by now with the drinks Luke.
LUKE: Okay I will be back just now.
“So Luke left to get the drinks while the rest of the guys went to sit on the table which was extra at the
VIP room. Few minutes later he came back with our drinks served on a tray and they started to drink
and there was playing a song called can I have this dance by high school musical.”
Luke: Guys? I’m back with the drinks and if you feel like you need more please don’t hesitate to go to
the bartender and ask for more anyway I would like to stay with you guys but I have to be with the
teammates because it’s part of the rule that we’re following here.
DON: Of course so guys who want to party?
JAMES: Hell yeah bro I do. (he laughed)
FIKILE: Count me in guys.
DON: Come on joint me at the dancing floor Fikile and I see the party is so lit there.
FIKILE: Why not? (she stood up immediately)
JAMES: Babe can I have this dance please?
SINOTHANDO: Not now babe but you can dance if you feel like it.
JAMES: (he was kinda disappointed) Okay I don’t mind dancing.
SINOTHANDO: Just like that? (she asked)
FIKILE: What were you expecting friend?
JAMES: Good question.
SINOTHANDO: I was kidding friend anyway James I would like to dance with you.
JAMES: What will do if I said I’m no longer interested in that dance?
SINOTHANDO: I would say please…
JAMES: You really like things to be done your way right?
SINOTHANDO: Yeah I guess...
JAMES: Let’s go dance guys anyway.
UBER DRIVER: I will be here guys when you need me.
JAMES: Okay bro but why don’t you come to the dance floor with us?
UBER DRIVER: I guess I don’t like dancing bro.
SINOTHANDO: That’s weird bro... anyway guys let’s go on the dance floor.
DON: Come on Alvis let’s go dance and we’ll dance together.
UBER DRIVER: I told you guys I don’t like to dance.
SINOTHANDO: Come on bro who are you trying to convince here?
UBER DRIVER: Myself I guess…
FIKILE: Oh come on Alvis. Come dance with us.
UBER DRIVER: Sorry I don’t like dancing my friend.
FIKILE: Okay whatever suits you (they left to the dancing floor)
“When they get to the dance floor as James was dancing with his girlfriend and got a little thirsty so
he went back to the table they were sitting and got himself a stiff shot of vodka and take a beer with
him back to the dance floor but what pissed him off is that some guy called Makay was making a move
on his girlfriend.”
JAMES: Baby I think I’m thirsty again you know…
SINOTHANDO: Okay babe please when you’re coming back bring something for me to drink.
JAMES: Like?
SINOTHANDO: Something that is not strong I guess. (she smiled)
JAMES: Okay I will bring vodka but I will mix with orange juice you don’t mind.
SINOTHANDO: I said something that is not strong but you are busy suggesting vodka are you for
real?
JAMES: Yeah I am for really my love (he smiled) anyway but it won’t strong when mixed.
SINOTHANDO: I’m really used to vodka brandies and whiskeys.
JAMES: You are on another level now and we are going things differently here (he smiled) anyway
everything has a start and you know that.
SINOTHANDO: Yeah I do but...
JAMES: Okay I will bring your vodka babe.
SINOTHANDO: James no… (she was too late because James heard her as he was leaving guy called
Makay saw an opportunity to talk with Sinothando)
MAKAY: Hi gorgeous lady. (he smiled)
SINOTHANDO: I’m not a gorgeous lady (she looked pissed)
MAKAY: Sorry for my ridiculous action my name is Makay.
SINOTHANDO: Nice to know you Makay but I have company.
MAKAY: Come on pretty lady I see nobody here but me I guess you were referring yourself to me. (he
smiled)
SINOTHANDO: I’m sorry my dear friend I was talking about my boyfriend and he’s a psycho if he
found you here don’t ever say I didn’t tell you.
MAKAY: Tell me what?
SINOTHANDO: That... he will kick your arse bro because he doesn’t like guys who come near me.
(he laughed)
MAKAY: Come on you will tell him I’m just a friend from your class just in case he doesn’t suspect that
I’m making a move on you. (he smiled)
SINOTHANDO: You must be out of your mind and I think you need to leave me bro.
MAKAY: Leave where? What if I don’t want to leave?
SINOTHANDO: Then wait for my boyfriend and he will fix you when he’s coming back.
MAKAY: Are you for real?
SINOTHANDO: Do I look like I’m Chuck

“James was left with the bartender by Makay the bartender was curious to know about the fight they
were having earlier and what was it about. Then James went back to the table he chilling at and Don
teased him about the fight he had with Makay Luckily Sino stood up for him.”
BARTENDER: Do you mind if I asked you something?
JAMES: Yeah sure go ahead.
BARTENDER: Please don’t get mad or something but...
JAMES: Get to the point bro.
BARTENDER: Okay. Why were you fighting with that guy?
JAMES: Come on bro. do you really want to know about it?
BARTENDER: Yeah I do.
JAMES: (he laughed) It’s very funny but I don’t feel guilty for punching that moron.
BARTENDER: Funny? How?
JAMES: That fight wasn’t necessary but the problem is that he was disrespecting me in front of my
girlfriend bro.
BARTENDER: (he laughed coming close behind the counter) So what did he do exactly?
JAMES: (he laughed) You won’t believe that he was trying a move on my girl and when I caught him
doing that he kept he’s not scared of and he can talk whenever he wants with my girl. I don’t wanna
lie I lost it and I punched him then the fight started.
BARTENDER: What was he thinking bro for doing that?
JAMES: I have no idea bro about what he was thinking but I don’t blame him.
BARTENDER: Tell me more…
JAMES: I mean bro we all have that confidence which leads to be beaten up.
BARTENDER: (he laughed) I get you bro and sometime it comes when we see that the crowd will
favour us or maybe there is a girl that we trying to win over.
JAMES: I guess he was trying to win over my girlfriend bro (he laughed)
BARTENDER: What a loser (he laughed)
JAMES: I don’t blame him bro and I was in his situation he would have done the same thing.
BARTENDER: Even thou you know bro that it is not a good idea.
JAMES: Remember we don’t think the same.
BARTENDER: But even a blind man would see that it’s not a good idea.
JAMES: Anyway I really don’t guarantee I’m saying bro but it’s clear that he was playing with fire. I
guess he was playing lotto. (he laughed)
BARTENDER: Thath’amachance thath’amamillions. (he laughed)
JAMES: Exactly bro (he laughed) oh god my drink is finished please some more bro. (he passed over
the glass to the bartender)

BARTENDER: She must be freaking out and worried about you bro.
JAMES: Yeah I guess she is worried.
BARTENDER: (he handed over James’s drink) Your drink bro…
JAMES: Thank you bro.
BARTENDER: Pleasure.
JAMES: So what is your name bro?
BARTENDER: I prefer to be called T-Bone bro.
JAMES: Was nice meeting you T-Bone.
BARTENDER: Did your girlfriend ever saw you fighting before?
JAMES: (he shaked head) I guess I don’t think so bro.
BARTENDER: It may turn out that she didn’t like even thou you were trying take the matter on your
hands and besides sometimes they like it when you are fighting for them.
JAMES: What do you suggest that I do?
BARTENDER: Talk to her and find out how she felt about the fight with that.
JAMES: His name is Makay.
BARTENDER: Whatever bro. I think my suggestion will work and all you need to do is to make her
understand why you did it.
JAMES: Just like that bro?
BARTENDER: It’s not as easy as you may think bro I must warn you. Anyway you never told me your
name bro.
JAMES: James Cekiso.
BARTENDER: Your surname sounds familiar bro.
JAMES: I know bro.
BARTENDER: Yeah I remember now I used to see the name on one of the taxis in the taxi ranks if
I’m mistaken.
JAMES: You’re not mistaken bro. My father owns those taxis you used to see on the taxi rank he
owns. I guess I have legacy to hold in the next coming years but what bothers me I never gave myself
time to learn about the taxi business.
BARTENDER: My friend you need to learn the business bro at least know a thing or two.
JAMES: I give myself some time but for now I’m busy with school. Besides the taxi business is so
dangerous I need to have a backbone before involving myself in it.
BARTENDER: Of course you need to know people who know people in that business. Just in case
you feel going for it.
JAMES: (he laughed) Just in case I feel like it?
BARTENDER: Yeah bro.
JAMES: Maybe if I want to settle down I guess.
BARTENDER: Brave move bro but does not say don’t learn the business just because you will look
on it when you want to settle down.
JAMES: Yeah at least I know a thing or two about the business since my father always insists me to
learn by force (he laughed) I hope you know what I’m saying bro. (and he finished his last sip inside
the glass)
BARTENDER: Yeah bro I know and that’s how our parents operate.
JAMES: So pushy fussy & harsh. Especially when it is something to have by force.
BARTENDER: That is my daily bread bro I can relate. (he laughed)
JAMES: Sometimes I wish to bury myself.
BARTENDER: Should I pour you another drink huh?
JAMES: (he laughed) You want me to kill myself can’t you see that I had enough.
BARTENDER: You seem fine to me come on have another drink I insist.
JAMES: I see what are you trying to do bro.
BARTENDER: (he smiled) What are you talking about?
JAMES: You want to get me drunk so I will pass out in this party anyway I have seen enough because
niggas here hit on other nigga’s girl here so I can’t pass out now and not here in this place (he laughed)
BARTENDER: You gotta be extra careful in events like these because anything can happen you just
know when.
JAMES: I learnt my lesson anyway I gotta go back to my friends. (he left the bartender at mini bar)

FIKILE: Come on friend stop messing with my mind. (she looked pissed)
SINOTHANDO: Okay friend but…
FIKILE: But what?
SINOTHANDO: I don’t think that James will like it if I told you while even himself he was wondering
what I was talking about. Of course you saw him luckily you witnessed it yourself my friend. (she
smiled)
FIKILE: I know friend but I can keep a secret my friend and besides you can trust me anyway.

FIKILE: That is much long my friend anyway what are thinking to do now?
SINOTHANDO: What do you mean?
FIKILE: What are you planning to do since you think that he’s waiting for long?
SINOTHANDO: To surprise him by coming at his home and I just hope that he must be alone so we
can take as much time we want alone.
FIKILE: What if Mr Cekiso found you inside his house and what will you do?
SINOTHANDO: I will cross that bridge later when it’s time for me to cross it and I don’t think he might
have a problem seeing his son’s girlfriend besides I’m his future daughter in law.
FIKILE: Daughter in law? (she smiled)
SINOTHANDO: Yes
