About the Group

Natyabhumi Group Theatre, a distinguished theatre group in Tripura, was

established in August 1998. With an impressive record of over 200 stage
performances, including street plays, they have gained widespread acclaim
across the country. Renowned plays such as 'Haadi Brityanta’ ,'Waksaa’,
‘Anupama’, ‘Made in India’ and 'Charaibeti' (Move Forward) have been written
by on of their founding members, Partha Pratim Acharya. Additionally, the
group has successfully organized three International Theatre festivals in
Agartala and has participated in various renowned festivals like Kolkata Theatre
Fest, Vasant Rang Mahotsav in Mumbai, Dhaka International Theatre Fest,
among others. They actively contribute to workshops for rural theatre troops
and college teams, highlighting their dedication to theatre education. The group
continues to leave a lasting impact on the local and national theatrical scene.
