I am writing to you further to the letter dated 26/08/21 in connection with your request for a revision of
your Housing Benefit decision.

I note from your records that you have received Guarantee Credit in the past however you have only
declared a State Pension of £147.70 per week on your application form.

Your Housing benefit award will be assessed under the Local Housing Allowance scheme. The eligible
rent (the amount used to calculate your Housing benefit entitlement) will be £295.49 per week, you have
stated that your rent is £450.00 per week. This gives a shortfall of £155.00 per week.

Note: You must provide original documents as proof of Identity. For all other proofs that you
need to supply, we will accept documents that have been copied/scanned and sent to us by e-
mail.

The following information is required in order to re-assess your entitlement to benefit correctly.

 Please state the reason(s) why you have not re-claimed Guarantee Credit.
 Please provide proof of all your capital from March 2018 to date, such as:

 Bank or Building Society statements


 a savings book showing that the balances from March 2018 to date.
 original certificates of any bonds, unit trusts and shares.

We cannot accept mini-statements from cash machines.

If you or your partner owns any property (except the one where you currently live) or land in
this country or abroad, we need evidence of its value and evidence of any remaining
mortgage balance.
 Please provide proof of where you deposited the £100000.00 cash gift that you received on or
around March 2018.
 Please how you have covered the full payment of your rent.
 Please confirm the reason(s) why your landlord let you forgo the rent for June 2021.

 Please provide the licence agreement which your landlord stated in a letter dated 29/07/21

Please provide this information in the pre paid envelope provided. All original documentation will be
returned to you. If you wish to hand in documents at one of our reception sites, please see addresses
and times of opening at foot of letter.

Please provide the information and evidence requested above within 7 days of the date on this letter. We
will not be issuing any further reminder letters, so it is important that you provide all of the evidences
requested, or an explanation as to why any evidences cannot be provided. If we have not received a
response in respect of every question raised by 07/10/21 at the latest, the Council will not revise
its earlier decision of 03/09/21 about your entitlement. A decision that you are not entitled to benefit
could put your home at risk or result in action against you for non-payment of Council Tax. So it is very
important that you provide the evidence we need in support of your claim as soon as possible.

Please note that if you receive Jobseeker's Allowance, Income Support, Employment and Support
Allowance or Pension Credit, you must contact either the Department for Work and Pensions or your
local Jobcentre Plus office to inform them of any change of address. If you have not already done this,
you must contact them immediately. Delaying in doing so can affect your entitlement to benefit.
