Kitchen Utensils - a small hand-held tool used for food preparation.

KITCHEN UTENSILS

1. frying pan - used for frying and sauteing


2. saucepan - used for cooking nilaga or sinigang
3. turner - used to turn or flip food over
4. ladle - a large and deep spoon with a long handle
5. knife - used for cutting and pairing
6. cutting board - protects the countertop from knife marks
7. colander - used for draining water from food
8. funnel - a pipe that is wide at the top and narrow at the bottom
9. peeler - a device for removing the skin from fruits and vegetables
10. shredder - used for shredding out the meat into a fine string or curl
11. grinder - a machine used to turn food into small pieces
12. measuring cup - a kitchen utensil used primarily to measure the volume of liquid or bulk solid
cooking ingredients such as flour and sugar, especially for volumes from about
50 mL (2 fl oz) upwards.
13. measuring spoon - a spoon used to measure an amount of an ingredient, either liquid or dry,
when cooking
14. grater - a device having a surface covered with holes engaged by slightly raised cutting edges,
used for grating cheese and other foods
15. fruit juicer- used for squeezing the juice
16. mortar and pestle- used to grind, crushed, and pulverized ingredients
