Those BSC’s where PCM links are having full guaranteed redundancy, we
shall correctly dimension C7 links. (this is applicable for future plan –
combination of SDH on fibre/MW)
2. For other BSC’s, we should have additional C7’s and PCM’s for
redundancy. (applicable to current plan & future plan for BSCs on MW
PDH+DXX)
3. Heavily loaded BSCs like Mehta Mahal, Bombay Hospital, Buena Vista etc
should have a more robust Transmission Redundancy Plan. While
planning redundancy, BSC loads should be taken into consideration.
7. In the Interim Plan, Transmission will have 50% redundancy. Hence all
BSC’s will be overdimensioned. Number of C7s shall be equal to number
of PCMs in a BSC. This may lead to odd number of C7s for certain BSCs.
8. It has been found that the current distribution of SDCCH configuration for
LA border cells is :
- 70% of LA cells are 16 SD, 20% are 8 SD’s, balance 10% cells are either
having 24, 32 or 48 SDs.
9. No.of C7 links at MSC end is a constraint (as stated by Rajesh B.) after all
BSC’s are equipped with 8 MTL’s.
10. CPU loading to be constantly checked after 2 MTL’s / GPROC have been
equipped by OMCR.
11. We shall stick to existing LAI plan along with enhanced C7 TS equipage.
12. On a GPROC, having 2 MTL’s, the 2 MTL’s should be on separate
physical paths.
13. For Tata fibre, after ring is implemented, Transmission team will do
random checks by pulling out fibre and checking their loop redundancy.
