Gurminder Singh Randhawa

I take great pleasure in issuing this commendation letter to Gurminder Singh, CDPO on account of his
invalueable contribution to the reformation of State Shelter Home for Girls, Jalandhar. He was
closely associated with the project from the beginning and wholeheartedly devoted himself to make
the project a grand success. As a result of his efforts, the District Administration, Jalandhar signed a
Memorandum of Understanding with 10 different private schools in Jalandhar, in pursuance of
which 26 girl students of school going age were admitted free of tuition fee and other costs in these
schools.

Throughout his involvement Gurwinder Singh displayed exemplary sincerity, empathy and
commitment to the cause of education of girl students. In turn, the girl children lodged in the shelter
home show much affection and gratitude to Gurwinder, who went beyond the call of his duty, to
make life better for these unfortunate children.

In addition to the admission in private schools, he helped create better living environment for the
girls in the shelter home through his painstaking and persistant efforts to achieve the vision of
holistic development of the children. He painstakingly worked on procurement of different
equipment required for the children, liaisoned with other NGOs etc for inviting them to impart
different kind of learning to the children, helped in creating a library, a leisure room etc. for creating
a welcoming environment for the children.
