Age: 13
Background:
Shridhar hails from a family of 3 members. His father is an employee in DRDO and his
mother is an assistant professor in the university. Shridhar does not have any siblings. He
says that he has attended the Anveshana program since 2020 and also made a project named
Covid 19 suraksha bus sanchar and won the 4th rank.
Before Anveshana:
Shridhar says that he has been to science exhibitions earlier and performed the experiments
like mopping machines etc. He says that he has never thought about the concept of helping
the student who is in need to education either physically or financially, as he did not
encounter any situation like that. He says that he has been mentored earlier in school and
made mopping machine.
During Anveshana:
During Anveshana, Shridhar says that he got a very good experience by meeting the mentors.
He has met the mentor around 4 to 5 times in a month and the experience was very pleasant.
The mentors were very friendly and encouraged the students to ask questions and helped
them in thinking from all the perspectives. Shridhar says that having a good mentor and
having good conversations are the memories that he would cherish for a long time. With the
mentorship, he learnt to focus on the right ideas and nurture them. Shridhar has made a Covid
19 suraksha bus sanchar project that won the 4th prize in the competition.
After Anveshana:
When Shridhar shared this experience with his fellow students, he says that they were very
inspired and wanted to also join the program. He says that with this whole program, he now
wants to become a mentor and show right guidance to the mentees. He says that Anveshana
program has given him internal confidence, clarity of thought. This is easily noticeable by
others also and he says this is only possible by proper guidance and mentorship of Anveshana
mentors.
