Assalamualaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh

Introducing me Muhammad Hatta is the last child of four siblings. I live in Geblagan,
Tamantirto, Kasihan District, Bantul Regency, Special Region of Yogyakarta. I am a fourth-
semester student in the Civil Engineering study program at Yogyakarta Muhammadiyah
University. From elementary school to high school I quite often participated in competitions
such as poetry, lectures, recitation, quizzes, and the olympics. During the fourth semester of
college I am grateful because I was chosen to be the assistant lecturer for the geomatics
practicum course, selected as the best assistant for the geomatics practicum, and selected as the
coordinator of the geomatics practicum for the sixth semester ahead.

My daily activities during college were lecturing and being a teaching assistant, helping
lecturers to guide younger siblings directly in the Laboratory and Field for one subject. By
becoming a teaching assistant, I want to add to my knowledge and develop my abilities, both
soft skills and hard skills. I hope this will help me face the world of work when I graduate.

I am a disciplined and responsible person, this is proven by the fact that during my
studies I always complete assignments on time and get good grades. From semester one to
semester three, my parents paid for my tuition fees. However, since the fourth semester after
my mother died due to illness my father had to work harder to be able to finance our daily life
and my tuition fees, of course, that became my weakness, especially after the departure of my
beloved mother.

Becoming a teaching assistant was not entirely my desire but the wish of my parents,
especially my late mother, who always supported me from childhood until she left this world
forever. However, I will make this situation a motivation for me to keep fighting. I hope to
make them proud and change our current life for the better in the future. I am currently
preparing to take part in the registration of a teaching assistant for the 2023/2024 academic
year. I hope to be accepted and become a practicum assistant in a course I want.
 By taking part in the Sang Surya Lazismu DIY 2023 Scholarship program, I hope to
ease my father's burden on tuition fees. If I get the chance to join in a series of activities held
by Lazismu DIY, I will be responsible and do well and prove that accepting me is a good
decision. Enough of this letter of motivation from me, I hope to be able to get the Sang Surya
Lazismu DIY 2023 Scholarship. If I don't get this scholarship, maybe some will need it more
and deserve it. Aamiin.
