Background:
Swasthik hails from a family of 4 members. His father works as a
supervisor and his mother is a housewife. He has one sibling and now is studying in 2 nd
standard. Swasthik has been a part of Anveshana program for the past one year and
performed a project on Classification of Alzheimer and Dementia using Fusion and Machine
Learning Technique.
Before Anveshana:
Swastik is a very enthusiastic student and used to attend the science related conferences and
competitions. In fact he also stated that he attended one of the science exhibitions conducted
by Shri Madhwa Vadiraja Institute of Technology & Management, Bantakal. He thinks that
education is the base for every human’s mentality and will help us secure the living further in
the future. He says that to excel in the education, there is a strong need of mentorship and he
always wanted to be mentored.
During Anveshana:
When he got to know about his mentor, he wanted to meet the mentor but never got the
chance to meet in person. He has only met her during online demo sessions. He really likes
his mentor as she makes him overcome his nervousness and because of which, Swasthik can
now present himself in front of public. He also learnt new concepts from his mentor like
machine learning, fusion, and information about Alzheimer & Dementia. His mentor was
very knowledgeable and helped him understand his project that is Classification of Alzheimer
and Dementia using Fusion and Machine Learning Technique. He says that with this
experience he wants to be mentored again in the topics like machine learning. He says
mentors can be very supportive in terms of learning new topic.
After Anveshana:
He says that his friends always supported him and told him to be lucky to have selected from
the school for such a good platform. With the help of Anveshana, he overcame his
nervousness about the public, improved the communication skills, which automatically
increased the confidence levels. He gives all the credit to Anveshana and his mentor.
