Background:
Venkatesh hails from a family of four members. His father is a weaver and his mother is a
housewife. He has one sibling and is doing job currently. Venkatesh is been a part of
Anveshana for the past one year and has performed Bio Bricks project as part of Anveshana
program. He has also won 2nd prize for that.
Before Anveshana:
Venkatesh says that he has always been a keen observer of nature and he loves the science
subject a lot. He says that though he has never performed at any of the science fairs and did
not attend any science competitions; he always wanted to do some or the other experiments.
He says that once, he has created solar lamps also. Venkatesh says that though he never was
mentored by someone or had no experience in mentoring any other student, the whole
Anveshana journey has changed his personality.
DuringAnveshana:
Venkatesh says that when he got to know that he would be mentoring the school kids in
preparing science projects, he felt that he is educating and guiding the future youth of our
nation and that is a very big responsibility. It was a great experience to Venkatesh to prepare
a model and explain the same to his mentees. He met his mentee for 4 times and had a very
seamless communication to clearly explain him about what is the project. He says he also
encouraged his mentee to ask any doubts and have a clarity about the project. He says that his
parents and his college lecturers supported him a lot in understanding about how to mentor
and how to pass on the knowledge he has to his mentee.
After Anveshana:
When he shared his mentorship experience with his friends, Venkatesh says they were very
happy to learn that he had such a nice experience. With this motivation, Venkatesh would
like to approach government high school students and mentor them with his ideas. He says
with this whole experience his confidence levels have been increased and have seamless
communication with people. This experience has also helped him in change in behavior
towards better. He thanks Anveshana for giving him this opportunity.
