Her father is a farmer, and her elder brother also helps her father in farming. Her mother is a housewife. Neelamma currently pursuing her arts degree in Government PU college, in Byahatti. During her free time, she likes to read books of different authors. Neelamma has been associated with Agastya sessions since her 6 th standard. Neelamma says she still remembers the first day of Agastya sessions. She was very excited for her first class, and did a lot of group activities, and she enjoyed the session so much that she started looking forward for the next sessions. She used to attend the sessions every once a month. She says that not just the class and group activities, but she also liked the summer camp. She learnt a lot and enjoyed so much during the summer camp as it was entirely a different experience for herself. She says that Agastya is a great opportunity for her to learn new things in a different way. One of the best things that she learnt at Agastya is to connect the subject with regular daily life. This helped her understand her surroundings better and enjoy the nature a bit more. This also helped her to learn by herself. She says that with self-learning, one of the best things that gets acquired is to be proactive in any situation. She became proactive during lockdown and cleaned her village. She says she is very happy to do it. Neelamma says Agastya not just helps to achieve educational excellence, but also supports the children to get close to their dreams. Neelamma always wanted to become a teacher and with Agastya, their methodology and the experiments they teach, she can now clearly see her dreams coming true in the future. She says that she gained skills like confidence, got rid of her stage fear and performing peer to peer teaching. In agastya sessions she used to listen story and she used to watch video, and she used to participate in the game from that she understood how human values are important to the society and how leadership quality is important to get knowledge. from that she can adopt in her life to learn something new. She says all these changes in her lifestyle were only possible with Agastya and she is eternally thankful to them.
