Aim and Objective - To work in a dynamic and pragmatic organization within Social
Sector. As a self-motivated leader, I believe in leading women and youth to bring progressive
change in the area of “Women’s Sexual and Reproductive Health Rights.”

I am associated with SAMYAK Organization as a State Coordinator. I have 8 years’ experience in

Development sector. Gender, Health, Development and Sexual and Reproductive Health Right are
my core area of working. I was involved in coordination with government, media and civil society
organizations on the issue of access to safe abortion services in the state of Maharashtra. Before
that i was working with Rainbow Foundation India who works with street girls and i was working
on the topic of Health and Education in Rainbow Foundation India. After that I started working
on the issue of SRHR (Married Women) and Life Skill Education program with Adolescent
girls in Institute of Health Management, Pachod at their Pune division. I completed my
graduation from Nagpur University and post-graduation in Master of Social Work from Savitribai
Phule University in Pune. I have worked in 30 villages of Pune district (Khed Tehsil) about Sexual
and Reproductive Health Rights. I used to gather women in Gram Panchayat or Temple of
village and tell them information about RTI, STI, and UTI. Also shared information about
pregnancy care and signs of dangers in pregnancy, how to care new born baby too, with this
information she also used to tell them about contraception’s and give demo of it. With the help of
Public Health Care she has taken capacity building training of ASHA and monitors their work
she has taken training of ANM and MPW. Awareness about violence against women and
Adolescent girls in village level, school, college, Anganwadi and Primary health centre level.

For adolescent girls I have taken classes of Life Skill Education. Through these classes I tried to stop
child marriages, develop skills, education maximum until graduation and last was giving
birth to first child after age of 20. I used to take workshops, lectures in school and colleges for the
purpose of girls education, child rights etc. I am expert in group work and mobilization in field.

I have attended the workshop of Crea which was Sexuality, Gender and Right at Delhi also
Research and Advocacy, Social Media, Video and Documentation.

I have expertise in grassroots mobilisation, implementation of the project objectives in the

field, and coordinating project activities with different stakeholders like teachers, the
education department of Pune Municipal Corporation, civil society organisations, public
health departments, and regional advocacy groups. Along with this, had been involved in
organising training programs on gender and Sexual and Reproductive Health Right issues for
elected women representatives of PRI in five districts of Maharashtra. I have skills in reporting
 and documentation in Marathi and English. I am involved in administrative work like keeping
and maintaining accounting records.
I am trained in advocacy and currently work on the advocacy project in 28 districts of
Maharashtra for Building Coalition of SRHR Advocates for Demanding Access to Safe
Abortion and Strengthening SAMYAK Organizational Capacities’.
