Peer Meditation/Justice Club


2020-2022
I learned conflict resolution skills and mediated conflicts between my peers. I also discussed social justice
issues and actions to be taken with my group members.
Red Cross Club
2021-2023
Students were provided with opportunities to address community needs through first aid courses, the
Prepare with Pedro disaster preparation program, and vaccine drives.
Tennis
2021-2022
Participated in a tennis season, learning the game's rules and proper techniques. My communication skills
also improved; we had to employ non-verbal communication while playing.
Math Tutor
2022-2023
I tutored fourth graders struggling with math. I taught them basic concepts, helped them complete their
homework, and assisted with any alternate math activities.
National Honor Society
2022 to Present
Maintained club standards of practice scholarship, leadership, service, and character skills in this club. I
am also required to maintain 20 hours of volunteer work a semester.
Sustainability Classes
2022-2023
I taught fourth and fifth-grade classes about the importance of sustainable and environmentally conscious
living and sustainable habits they could participate in. I made presentations and held a competition to
prove who could form the most sustainable habits.
Ecology Club
2023 to Present
I am the founder of my school's Ecology Club. I host weekly meetings and organize out-of-school
activities. We work with non-profit organizations to help with restoration activities. We also go on
ecology excursions like hiking or snorkeling to participate in hands-on learning.
Field Ecology Teachers Assistant
2023 to Present
I am a teacher's assistant for 10th, 11th, and 12th-grade field ecology. I help manage lessons and assist
students struggling with the topics. I also grade tests, quizzes, and assignments.

Educational/Community Service Experiences

Wailuku Coffee Company


2021 to Present
I helped decorate Wailuku Coffee Company for the Day of the Dead. This involved preparing paper
flowers, creating art pieces, and setting up a remembrance board for Lahaina wildfire victims. I also
prepped dinner for a Day of the Dead meal.
CPR/First Aid Classes
2022 to Present
I’ve completed a course with the American Heart Association each of the past three school semesters. I
was certified in CPR, basic first aid, and AED use.
Request Music Benefit Shows
2022 to Present
I have helped organize three benefits concerts at Request Music, raising over 2,500 dollars. I also
hand-screened printed shirts and sold them to raise funds. All profits were donated to the organizations
Planned Parenthood, Indigenous Women Rising, The Equal Justice Initiative, and the International Rescue
Committee
NALU Studies
2022 to Present
I mentored an environmental science and Hawaiian cultural studies program for at-risk teenagers. We
participated in shoreline, forest, and wetland restoration with numerous volunteer organizations in Maui.
We also collected data for the University of Hawaii and Windward Community College.
Kealia Pond Wetlands (U.S Fish and Wildlife Services)
2022 to Present
I conducted a water quality assessment at Kealia Pond National Wildlife Refuge, testing for nitrates,
phosphates, salinity, and ammonia. I also did restoration work by working on native forest revitalization.
Kipuka Olowalu
2022 to Present
I participated in restoration work at Kipuka Olowalu, a native plant farm and cultural site. I removed
weeds, cleared plant beds, and planted native species.
Kimokea Foundation
2023
I collected ti leaves, helped braid them into the Lei of Aloha, and chanted and presented them at the Lei of
Aloha ceremony. The Lei of Aloha is a mile-long lei created to commemorate and be placed in the burned
remains of the historic town of Lahaina.
Kaho’olawe Island Reserve Commission
2022-2023
Kaho'olawe Island Reserve Commission works to restore the sacred island of Kaho'olawe after it was
used as a bombing range by the US Navy for more than 40 years. KIRC exists because the island is an
uninhabitable Hawaiian cultural site. I lived there for two weeks, doing restoration work and collecting
data with the NALU studies group.
Maui Fishpond Restoration
2023
I worked on restoring the Ko'ie'ie fishpond rock walls and made an informational video about the space
for visitors to the fishpond to watch.
Maui Disaster Relief Food Preparation
2023
I assisted with making bulk meals for displaced wildfire victims at the University of Hawai’i Maui
College. My participation included cooking, packaging snacks, organizing materials, washing utensils,
and chopping food.
Imi Wai Ola Science Conference
2023
I presented my data findings and cultural/social experiences with the NALU program at a statewide
science conference called Imi Wai Ola. This conference brings STEM students to discuss environmental
issues and innovative solutions in breakout sessions.
Wailuku Community Garden
2024
I took my ecology club to work on building the Wailuku Community Garden. We built pathways, weeded
and cleared areas filled with debris and weeds, and planted native flowers and food plants.

Babysitter
2020-2023
I worked babysitting a toddler. My responsibilities were to entertain her, make her meals, and clean up
after her.
Double Dipz
2021-2022
I worked at an ice cream shop. I served customers, handled money, and completed the closing duties
required at the end of the business day.
Wow Wow Hawaiian Lemonade
2022-2023
I worked at a smoothie bowl shop. I prepped stock, greeted customers, and provided them with service by
answering questions and recommending products. I took orders and operated the cash register. I closed the
store, wiping surfaces, washing dishes, prepping food, and mopping.
Da Green Coffee Bar
2023 to Present
I am responsible for making beverages and food while ensuring the store is clean, customers are satisfied,
food is prepped, and supplies are always stocked.
