Experience

Co-op Program Completed at Erin Public School (High School, 2019)

In high school, I took a co-op program and worked at Erin Public School in the special education. This program
was one semester long and I got to work alongside of other EAS and get the feel of what it is like to work as an
Educational Assistant.
Placement at Centennial Collegiate Vocational Institute (College, 2022 - 2023)
This placement consisted of 40 half days at the High School where I got the opportunity to work as an
educational assistant in two different specialized classrooms. I helped students with schoolwork and life skills
such as cooking, cleaning and hygiene. I also had the chance to lead learning activities and games for the
students.

Placement at Centennial Public School (College 2024)

This was my last placement for my college program. It consisted of 20 full days where I have the opportunity to
work with so many amazing staff and students. I worked in a grade 6 class as well as helped the SERT with
whatever was asked of me (assisting other students, helping record sugar levels for a diabetic student, etc.) I
assisted students with ODD and used physical resources to help them such as visual timers, “first and then” and
social stories.
